had a nice dinner with SWMBO last night. Grilled ribeyes in the snow, topped with steamed shrimp then covered w/ pepperjack cheese and into the broiler for 2-3 minutes to brown the cheese. Scrumpdillyicious! We call it: "Steak, shrimp & cheese!" Original, huh? Grilled asparagus and baked potato for sides.

Got our taxes done today, getting way more back than I anticipated. Now I need to adjust my deductions again. I like to try and break even, or as close as possible...

Picked up the girls from my folks, and now we're all home again...

 

No Noxema in the mail on Monday either. Federal holiday.

I do 50 swirls on the soap. I count them exactly. Haven't ever timed myself, but I definitely take more than three seconds.

 

Shawn - Tried the TOM Mint cream. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent, though the lather and shave were pretty good. That cream has a really strange consistency at first.

So good cream overall. Thanks much for the sample.

Fuzzy - Put the 1912 aside and started using the Lather Catcher lately. Last night's shave was with the Lather Catcher and Noxema Lather Shave. Good stuff. I'm really digging these SEs. Sorry I'm holding onto them for so long.

 

Not at all... they are great razors take your time to get a feel for them Ihave more you know . Glad you like them also

Hi all. 50 swirls.. that's what Micah does. Where did you get the idea for 50?

 

Hmm. Anybody else noticing funky looking stuff on our site here? The smilies aren't working right (tried to do a grin and am getting the mad face instead), a bunch of chevrons running the length of the page in the 'bar', missing icons and what not. Strange-o.

Back to the animal clothes thing. There are certain applications that make sense. Military, public safety, general safety and the like. In those limited cases there are animal garments that will pass muster. However a cutsie sweater for Fifi makes me want to gag! :sick007

Just figured it was a nice, even number and observed that by the time I hit 50, I've always got enough soap on the brush to make a good lather. I'm a little bit obsessive compulsive, if that helps the explanation.

 

I don't count my swirls... but it wouldn't surprise me if I was more than 50. Maybe I ought to count just to see...

 

I do the swirl and pump for a count of ~30.

 

Darnit, Dom is right. No noxema tomorrow either. Maybe Rick can pull some strings for me or something.

Oh well, Tuesday it is.

 

If my girlfriend saw this, she'd say she taught me well. Ugh.

Just finished epoxying the soap dish in the shower back onto the wall. I bumped it with my elbow the other day and it just popped out of the wall. Man I'm glad that thing didn't fall on my foot.

 

Daytona 500 was such a BS race. WTF! lead 1 lap and win the race? oh well. had some good company and some damn good bbq chicken for dinner. Had the old roomate, wife, and new kid over so had a good time. Sorry tracy the Nox didnt show up. Dr. mike didnt like his sample. Dom, sorry about the TOM.....stuff really works great warmed up. scent is single note peppermint...period. I enjoy it.

 

Just finished milling a puck of Colgate soap into a plastic container like my williams is. Been several years since I used this stuff.. looking forward to the shave in the morning.

Woohoo.. I got busy and missed the end of the race dang it. Guess luck counts at times too.

Raced sucked.....Kenseth happens to lead a lap.....and wins! Typical BS. what a waste of a 500. What a waste of time. I tried Colgate 4 times....horibble stuff. My god! Williams was a dream compared to Colgate....I know you like Williams but there is so much better. I am still pissed about the race.......Kenseth did deserve it but lucked out as always. At least Kyle Bush sucked...what a moron.

watched Paul Blart last night, pretty funny...shaving related, there's a scene where Crabtree & Evelynn is visable, so it's mandatory viewing for the HYD crew now

 

I could never get into watching NASCAR. Just seems like too much time to watch a race. I know it has its following but how the heck can you guys watch a race for that long.

Any of you guys ever used Mitchell's Wool Fat?
