No issue at all. As raw, unprotected wood, I wood like to see more grain and "fill the pores", so to speak.

Nice shave, Jim. The B&M Bay Rum is one of my favorites. I only have the soap, but it's a winner.

    Thank you, Joseph.
Interesting the West Indies Bay shortage hasn't seemed to affect many others. The only other I can think of is Dominica. Probably others I'm not aware of.

Hello all on this Sunday morning.
    Everyone here is doing better.
The morning shave was uneventful, only had to stop one time, between 1st and 2cd pass.
Using 2 new Feather blades for each pass and 2 FB's on 9 for a close smooth 2 pass shave. I am getting closer, smoother, more comfortable shaves than ever. The alum was not as quiet as I'd like, on the neck, but the best so far. No blood, no weepers, no redness or itching. Don't seem to be going anywhere today so I only did a one pass head shave, to rest the shoulder.
Using two new feathers for a better shave???? Sounds crazy, but look who came up with it, well ....:shocked029:

So a 3 pass shave would requries 3 blades per shave???? Oh my! :sad027:

    Not going there just yet!

If I only have one type of razor, gonna have to change blades mid shave.

    To all
    Enjoy

"Yes, friends and neighbors, I took off the goatee--"
For some that is a big step.

    Thank you, Terry!
The B&M Bay Rum is a traditional bay rum. Not as bright as the PAA Atomic Age and I don't smell the cinnamon like Stirling. If it has the citrus in it like Ogallala my nose doesn't pick it up. I like it alot, but then again I haven't met a bay rum I don't like. Unfortunately it's out of production right now.
