good lord you guys have a lot of razors! I've only got 7, 2 of which are on loan to me. And I've been thinking of culling the herd!

I know rolls won't be happy, but I'm really considering eBay. I just haven't been able to make myself do it yet. I'm afraid someone will thief them from me and turn around and sell them on the Shave Forums for a much higher price...

 

Got my Dovo Renaissance the other day, not super impressed with it.

Buy some milks, splashes, soaps, creams and cologne samples and let me know what you think of them.

My tubs are 4 oz. I like them much more than tubes. They stack nicely.

what do you want? or need? or don't have enough of? If you haven't yet, I recommend the TSD brand A/S splash or milks. I hear the soaps are well liked, too, but I haven't tried them myself...

 

No? What's wrong with it? Is it a new blade? How many straights do you have now, and what are they? Which do you like best? I'm going to do some work on my W&B tomorrow and then send it and my Wostenholm out to get honed...still haven't decided between Lynn or Glenn (gssixguns)....

Are the blue ones in your picture the 2oz ones, and the brown tubs the 4oz?

I feel like my wostenholm is sharper, and smoother.

Maybe I was expecting a lot from it, and it didn't meet my expectations, so I'm a bit disappointed.
If you are getting Lynn's DVD, have Lynn do it to kill 2 birds with one shipping charge. There is another guy Chris, Goes by El Amine on SMF, he can hone them and have them back to you in a day or 2, 16.50 is what he charges and he's back east near you somewhere. I can get his info to you if you like.

I have 2 very old wostenholms, one is a pipe razor, I need to reset the bevel, there is no cutting edge right now, the other is an I-XL.
and I have the Dovo reniscannce which is a stainless razor I got used.

Currently have t and h trafalgar and sample set, some mb, tobs samples, and some qed. Not much in the blades area or a/s.

 

what are you using for blades, and how do you like them?
the Anherb gel and conditoners are very good AS's for rough shave days.
I haven't used any TSD stuff so I can't comment on any of the stuff.

I don't know how much your GC is for, but I would get an A/S sample (1 oz (lasts a while)), a puck of the TSD soap, and some of the 7 O'Clock blades. The Astras, too, if she has them up on the board yet. I'd also get a AS Milk sample (1 oz) too if you can throw it in there. HTH...
