Sounds good to me, Neal. When I hit my target weight, I plan to stop my daily meal logging. I have a pretty good idea of what reasonable looks like now. Instead, I plan to weigh once a week and eat reasonably most days. Every now and then, I'm gonna have a favorite meal where I eat what I want within reason...and that would definitely include a nice meal like you guys enjoyed...then get back on the program. If my weight creeps up a couple pounds, I can always drop back and start logging again. I'm giving myself a 3- to 5-lb. window to stay within. I've watched my Bride do this for years, and it seems to work.

By the way, I'm "planning" for BBQ ribs or brisket for dinner and ice cream with my breakfast at the meetup. :eatdrink023::eatdrink020:

Yes he seems better today, got 6 hours sleep so I'm good to go.
Pulling the toilet was a 10 minute job, it hurts more to lift a razor above my head or put on a Tshirt than to do that job.
    Life goes on.

I don't know, I would hate to feel responsible for you "falling off the wagon" while you're here. I do know of a couple of vegan spots for breakfast and dinner that would protect that sexy new waistline.

Ok guys, one more and I'll let it die.
So in the town I grew up in, they made some funny post cards. The two people in the picture own that car.
It was a real hoot when it hit the local stores and train station gift shop.

Had a devil of a time finding this.

I’m more of a 4D guy. I really don’t want to be pigeonholed on your chart, Rick.

I am both inspired by and jealous of your progress, Charlie. I dropped 25 eating like an Ethiopian refugee, and then plateaued despite consuming equivalent calories to an anorexic. Came off the 1500 cals a day and gained half back almost immediately. 65 pounds is not only astounding, but virtually impossible in my world.

Thank you, Randy. I appreciate the kind words. I have no doubt that you will reach your goal, my friend. Everyone is different, and you will find something that works for you. Quite honesty, it's much easier for me now that I'm not working and continuously tempted by all the goodies in the break room.

Well I’m at a convention in Chicago this week, Charlie, so the steaks and deep dish ain’t gonna help. When I get back I may talk to my doc, and see if he can remove my stomach.

I get the look when I tell them people I average 4 big cups of coffee a day. That's down from 10 or 12 cups when I worked. I'll have a cup anytime there's a pot within arm's reach. Day or night. You recommended the Cafe Bustelo on another thread, and I tried it. Good joe!

We're checking out Aldi's store brand coffee this week. Heard it was good over on the coffee thread.

We have a Starbucks and a Five Star Food Mart down the street. If I want a good cup of coffee, the Five Star wins every time. A buck to refill my big travel mug, and it's always hot and fresh. Never liked Starbucks and hate to pay that much for a coffee. I feel stupid asking for a Venti size...so I just say 'gimme the biggest one you got.'

Have a great time, Randy. Chicago is a fun place to visit. It's especially hard when you're traveling to eat right, but I'd definitely want to sample some of the local foods.

The good thing about Chicago (downtown anyway) is you have plenty of places to walk for exercise and sight seeing. Mrs. Danger and I have started doing 15-minute walks throughout the day when we think about it, and I hit the stairs every chance I get when we're out. I did 14 flights at church this morning...spaced out over 3 hours so I wouldn't pass out. :)

I also use the Bustelo to make so so coffee better. If the store brand is not up to par mix in some. I can go through 8 cups a night easy at work. Like you I drink it day and night. Never bothers my sleep.

Round 2, Match 1: Barrister and Mann - Cool vs Captain's Choice - Venture

Shave 1: Barrister and Mann - Cool

    The Setup:
    Razor: Merkur 34C
    Blade: Feather Stainless
    Brush: Perfecto Pure Badger
    Mug: Henry Cavendish
Post Shave: Witch Hazel and Cetaphil

After having trouble with B&M in the first round, I did a little research into how to lather it. Again, West Coast Shaving came through with this video: . (I am not affiliated with WCS in any way.)

This helped me tremendously. I was able to achieve the slickness that you would expect from Barrister and Mann Reserve. By design, the soap doesn't have that much cushion, but it works. B&M deserves to be scored again.

WTG and XTG and touchup for BBS.

    Barrister and Mann - Cool
    Slickness: 8.5
    Ease of Lather: 7
    Post shave feel: 7
    Scent strength: Medium

Captain's Choice - Venture will close out round 2.

I hope everyone has a great start to the week!

I know a guaranteed way to lose 90 pounds in 6 weeks. I did it with "ease" in 2008. Plug your entire upper GI with gall stones. That should set off a full blown necrotizing pancreatic attack. Sure there's some pain. And lots of naso-gastric tubes. Don't mind the catheters and collapsed lungs. All part of the plan. Insert a drain to empty the remnants of the pseudocyst that forms (expect a 10 month lease on the drain) and slowly let things settle down. Once the pancreas (what's left of it) settles back down you should find yourself slim, trim, and ready to go. Worked for me. 235 to 145 in only 6 weeks. Please note - while I know it works I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. However, I'm thinking this would be a last ditch effort before actual stomach removal. :eatdrink047:

Aldi's is usually what I have in my coffee pot. I make a pot every morning, have two cups before heading to work and take the rest in my Starbucks travel mug and a small thermos. I think Aldi's has a great flavor and is definitely a value. Also, Costco Colombian is very good as well. A bit stronger than the Aldi's but that's ok. Strong coffee never bothered me.

Coffee should be strong enough to bark and come to you when called.

My grandfather said to me, when I ask why such strong of coffee. "If I wanted hot water, I'd draw it from the tap".
So of course I made it strong, and now, after drinking it for over 2 decades, I like it Strong.
