I just got a new pen it's the 88P fine in this thread

 

I can't get into Nascar. I can't get into Mitchell's Wool Fat either. Doesn't smell that great, can be tricky to lather sometimes, and is just not worth the effort of obtaining and lathering it, in my opinion.

I love that line.

Up until December, I only had two DE razors. I have four now, thanks to Tracy. I'll be getting rid of my original two DEs pretty soon, I think. An HD and a Gillette Milord with case. The slant Tracy sent has given me the best shave from a DE ever.

I've got two straights in a rotation with a number of others set aside that I keep meaning to work on, but don't have the time.

Not too bad. No traffic on the roads, so the drive was fine. I was just more tired before setting out than I wanted to be.

Very nice acquisition there, Bong. I've been itching to try a regular Aurora nib (I've tried an Italic). Let me know how it treats you. Any idea when the pen was produced?

 

I think they were made to compete with the Parker 51's so probably the 60's

I actually already have one, but it's a medium nibbed pen, the one I am getting soon is a fine nibbed pen.
Very nice writing pen with a smooth nib, holds a good amount of ink too.

Let me know if you decide to offload your HD and milord razors.

Good morning everyone. Showered, shaved, and ready to go.... Anyone online?

Yup.... my wife has to work, and I have kids coming in for practice. I also find 4AM much easier to deal with when I keep the routine. If I sleep in, then I am up even later and 4 AM is so much harder when I need it on a work morning. Actually, I woke up 15 minutes early without the alarm.

OK... maybe I am a morning person... I am just too pessimistic to believe such a thing about myself. Morning people are just too darn perky and obnoxious. Well I guess I might qualify for the 2nd part of that...

The only thing I would consider even close to eye-candy is my 1912 silver single ring. And I shave with it. Nope - mostly user grade shavers here. I have some duplicates only because I find a cheap one; I buy it in case A) it is in better condition than what I already have and B) in case I break what I already have.

Agreed. I went ahead and used it this morning. No problems with lather, but started wetter than I usually would and it lathered fine. (100 swirls for those who want to know). However, I am not wowed by its slickness, moisturizing abilities, or anything else. I suppose if I was turned off by the smell of Tabac (which I am not) and I had to have a quality Tallow, this would do. I will probably have this puck of MWF decades from now and just use it once a month or so to say I did....

I have a Milord that I would be willing to let go. It is in really good shape - but it is missing 1 endcap. It shaves OK, just not one of my favorite razors. Being in less than perfect condition, I haven't bothered trying to sell it. Although I need to cull the herd. Probably when my I get some of my razors that are slowly trickling here through the mail, I will prolly post a group of shave quality razors on B/S/T.
