I gave myself a cooling off period & left two items in the shopping cart for at least 24 hours. In the end I succumbed to Joe's Enabling. If one of my favorite soap scents is to be discontinued I couldn't pass it up. I see Neal @NCoxSTL received his tub, too.

You'd think so common a form of matter would be discussed. I can understand leaving out Bose-Einstein condensates, Quark-gluon plasma, or degenerate matter. But when will the fluorescent light bulb come on? Every form of matter deserves it's day in the sun! ;)

Shaved this morning, but didn’t get to post it until now. Haven’t had the chance to keep up much the past few days. Tomorrow looks to be about the same.
Got a few weepers this morning, actually, as I was a bit rushed and ham-fisted with the new Personna. Still a very good shave.
Have a great day tomorrow, all!

Monday evening March 25 - Rule shave #12 and Menthol Monday

Delta Echo refurbished Gillette Fatboy on 4 / Rapira Swedish Supersteel (2)
Simpsons CH2 Chubby Synthetic Bristles brush
    MWF/Kent in beechwood tub
    Alum and Osage Rub

I had a four day stubble to mow down. Shaving after a hot shower, the Rapira blade on its second outing cleaned off the stubble as if it wasn't even there - not a hint of tugging or pulling. Two passes to a DFS, then switched up to Osage Rub for an eyewatering menthol finish.

I usually prefer to bowl lather, but face lathering the well-hydrated Fat with the dense Simpsons CH2 Chubby Synthetic has been working superbly all month. No sense changing what's working now. I will continue using this technique for the rest of this Rule.

Shave #3 seems to be where these Rapira blades start to slow down for me, so I binned this one tonight after shave #2 and will go to a fresh one tomorrow instead. And tomorrow it will be back to the same gear with the Polar Ice Booster splash.

Question for the Expert Adjudicators: is an Official Rule when you shave for a month with the gear regardless of how often you shave, or when you shave for 30 consecutive shaves with it? In other words, do I declare victory in completing this Rule at the end of March or do I stick with the same setup through most of April too? Opinions? Neal @NCoxSTL, Rick @RyX, Chris @Bama Samurai or anyone else?

I find mine lets me cover a bit more face with each stroke for the same size knot, but, yes, I think the principal advantage is really the cool looks. Essentially the knot comes already bloomed and stays that same diameter with use.
