you are correct, that is the problem
what needs to be done, is make the wireless router get on the cable modem's IP and subnet. have you tried the complete reset of the wireless yet? the easiest thing to do would be set the wireless to get its IP address from the modem, what kind of wireless was it again?

Also, could you double check the first set of numbers? I see "108" as the third number in the ip address, but "180" as the third number in the default gateway, are you sure that's correct?

    Weekend Score

I picked up a '66 3-piece with a blade still in the brass case, complete with red plastic insert. The velvet is immaculate, but there is some corosion on the case-- looks like it got too hot. The razor looks brand new save a little brassing on the very tip of the handle. $10. Happy Valentines day to me.

Then, I picked up a bottle of "Leather" FO for $6.

Methinks there's a new Uncle Albert's Amazing scent on the way.

Wow... so evidently the only person in HYD how slept well is me (and I got up early...) very very odd...

Thanks for the offer. I certainly washing fishing for it, but if you are willing, I will send you the PM.
I agree the numbers look odd. I just got home and have relatives due any minute. Lemme think on the router issue while I can...

hmmm, interesting on the address numbers....

is there a model number on the bottom of the wireless, what you're going to need to do is get into the management console of the wireless router, and hopefully setting it to DHCP so as to recieve its settings from the cable modem, and thus it would pass the settings on to your computer, all good. chances are, that if you put the 192.168.8.1 address in IE explorere while connected to the wireless, it'll come up to a web interface for managing the wireless. if that's the case, then from there you'll need to poke around until you see settings referring to IP, TCP/IP, internet settings, etc. and turn DHCP on. Hopefully there's no username or password set currently. I've got to run for a bit, but I'll check back when I get back in.
may the force be with you....

    Fuzzy here is your solution.

Take large hammer and beat the heck out of modem. If problem persists repeat but his time use hammer on computer.

    I hope this helps:D

yeah, with the subnet 255.255.255.0, the third octets should be the same....

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the b-day present from Mom-in-law, she got me a tube of Prora--er, C.O. Bigelow (The big tube!) and a bottle of their "Red" cologne. Nice stuff--the scent really lasts, but it's not quite as strong as I'd like it.

The cream is nice, it has a great cooling effect, and I can understand why it's so popular.

but I still prefer my soap.

Oh my... I was going to get ready to give him so more instructions.. But I just discovered that I am locked out of my own wireless modem. What in the blazes is my username / password combo on the thing.....

Anyway... my $.02 is that the wireless is communicating just fine and has established a wireless network. However, it can't find the internet because it is not looking for the larger internet in the location that your cable modem is providing it.

if it is password protected... try Admin as the username and password (or 1234) as the password. Common default setting...

Once you get into the wireless router settings...

If you have them, try the following settings:

Internet ID: set to get dynamically
    DNS: set to get automatically

From the computer that is using the wireless, paste the address of the router into the URL line. Instead of typiing http://www.theshaveden.com, you would type 192.168.8.1 and hit enter.

OK, silly me, I almost asked when your birthday was. D'oh. We all posted you a Happy Birthday last week!

I have sniffed the cologne there at Bath and Body Works once or twice. However, I never have purchased any. Just not sure how I feel about any of it (that and I don't wear cologne).

Happy Presidents Day kiddies. Pretty good shave w/ a Feather and Tabula Rosa cream today (thanks Tracy). Gotta say that TR cream smells like cardboard or something though. Not what I'd call an in-demand aroma. It shaved fine, but probably not something I'll be seeking out for purchase. A splash of TSD Vetyver to ice things off, and I'm ready for the day.

Gotta head out here in a bit but I'll sign back on in a while. Enjoy your holiday to those that have it off.

I added some Lime EO and some Coconut FO to my 2 tubs of Tabula Rasa. I haven't used them yet but they smell much better. Funny thing is the one I added the coconut FO to turned brown. I also sprouted 2 more toes and a 3rd ear but I think everything is fine, plus I can hear much better now.
