Good morning gents, today's plan is to find a portable mirror, it has been days w/o a shave and I am feeling scruffy. I was going to shave mirror-less last night but was concerned that I would end up removing stuff that I want to stay attached. Spent the day yesterday moving stuff out of my down stairs. My house is on stilts so its like a ground level basement. I have volunteers comming next week to help me put up the walls that got washed away. I honestly needed a change of pace and get out of the bathroom for a few days.
March 28th Razor: Gillette Red Tip A3 Blade: Astra SP (1) Brush: Switchback/Omega boar Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: B&M Reserve Spice Lucky Tiger face tonic PAA Star Jelly unscented AS: B&M Reserve Spice Good morning! Excellent first outing with the Red Tip! Three passes with touch up. Near BBS with completely silent alum. Astra SP's have been my focus blade this month and continued with B&M and the Switchback/ Omega brush. When I unpacked the Red Tip yesterday it was heavier than I thought it would be but in use this morning it felt pretty lite in comparison to what I usually use. Very smooth and the angle felt easy to find. Just a great razor and first shave with it. Have a wonderful day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Stephen, best of luck on the house. You are making a lot of progress, but I'm sorry you're having to go through this. It always feels good to get a shave after a few days...better get that mirror soon!
Thank you, Stephen. It will be a dark stain on oak with a matte finish. We're looking at three different samples this morning. The Boss will pick one.
March 28 Good morning gents! Finished my shave! I decided to face lather with Stirling Bay Rum using my Rocky synthetic. Stirling soap is foolproof and the Bay Rum scent is wonderful. My trusty 5/8 square point Wosty did a fine job! Two passes, no blood and no irritation was the final result. I didn't do touchups because I didn't need to go BBS. I decided IBSS was satisfactory for me this morning. Ended the shave with Stirling Bay Rum AS Result: Grade 95 = A Guys, make it a great shave and a great day!
Thanks again for the kind words! It is honestly a blessing in a really really good disguise, I have found so many major problems in the making and have been able to fix them before they got worse. I will post more pictures as I finish stuff up. Right now the rooms I have finished are filled with the stuff foe the rooms that are not done.
