    NCoxSTL AAACK!

Lots of shaves, a couple of Williams Wednesdays, shenanigans, @wristwatchb posted some Calvin and Hobbes. I'd say that covers the important stuff.

Just thought I'd point out that, at 8:05 PM this evening, @Terry posted the 7000th post of the month of March. This is the first time in the history of the 30 DC that we have had 7000 posts in one month. And we still have a little over three days to go. You guys keep killing it! It's almost like everyone here likes each other or something!

Something I've never tried, but if you want a rich explosion of lather I'd favor going with how mama cow made it.

Congratulations to @Terry for being the one to post the historic milestone! And to Randy @BaylorGator, definitely stick with Neal's earlier Cliff Notes version of the month, because you don't have a prayer of catching up while getting any sleep!

I would say either everyone here likes each other or else some of us have far too much time on our hands. Or both. Probably both: too much time on the hands explains a lot of crap that gets posted online including some very long threads on various forums (or fora for the Latin scholars), but long polite threads in which people actually listen to each other and then respond to what is said constructively and supportively only happen when people like each other ... (Or at least tolerate one another and mutually agree to remain civil. That can work too, but generally not for as long on an anonymous online forum.)

Seriously, I rarely stay active in a section of any kind of an anonymous online forum for a couple years straight, as I have on TSD and especially the 30DC, because there are usually outbursts of unpleasantness and mudslinging often enough to make frequent "mental health breaks" a necessity for me. My daily visits here, however, are invariably a pleasure rather than a mental drag or drain. Why, even the full-fledged Cookie Rebellion against the authoritarian might of the Russian Blade Cartel has been polite, with both sides lifting their pinkies while sipping their "tea" -- or whatever beverage was actually in the teacups in the speakeasy "tearoom"...

The Rebellion leaders enjoy vodka, which makes it much easier for negotiations and staring matches to occur. And, until the Cartel discovers a chink in the armor of the rebellion, particularly in their iron-fist control of the ice cream supply, it just makes sense to avoid driving them into oblivion. An example would be at Brick Top's for dinner this past Sunday. While I enjoyed the most incredibly delicious carrot cake that I"ve ever encountered for dessert, my wife chose their homemade chocolate chip cookie which far exceeds the normal chocolate chip cookies the Cartel makes available. But......it was covered in cinnamon ice cream - and THAT made it worth the time, money, and extra few pounds. That cookie without that ice cream? Yeah.....you see why we don't want a total upset.

Not sure about the young people but despite the everyone having a smartphone, super fast wifi and data everywhere I still see a lot of watchse. I think most view them as a fashion accessory. Also, it can hard to pull out your handphone when the subway or bus is packed during rush hour. M0stly I think it is just because this is a very fashion conscious society.

    I can't wait.............. :signs136:

Yes, congrats on the Red Tip, Jim. I enjoy mine as well. I do like the regular Flare Tip as well.
A great B&W, Clint! The weekend is getting closer. I hope you don’t have to spend all of Saturday at the office.
It is a great feeling to have a great shave with a favourite scent, no doubt Blair. The Red is actually the only ‘colour’ proraso I haven’t tried, but certainly has its fans.
The new brush is very nice, Joseph. A very unique, tall, original design. Congratulations.
Ya, the bad blades do happen, albeit quite rarely imho. I had a bad cartridge of Chick injector blades once, as well.
Looks like that Starling is well on its way to becoming a favourite, Jim. Awesome pic as always!
Glad the soap is a winner, Andrew. I’ve never heard of an Ericsson razor before. Had it long?
Well, you came back just in time...Neal @NCoxSTL is about to shave with a Tiger blade...
You travel in style, Paul. Love the scales on that Ern.
    Great post, John. Well said.

    Morning fellow shavers!
Had a good shave yesterday, i got a little 5x mirror that suction cups up in the shower, shaving in the shower was super convenient. I used the rose soap Jim pifed me again. This time I had a little reaction to it. I am going to let my wife use it, if she doesn't like it I will be pifing it to someone else.
I used some poraso white pose shave balm, and really liked the scent. I am going to pick up a tube of the shave cream.
Almost shaved my head, but my children decided when I was in the shower was a great time to run a muck in the hallway so I was not risking a distracted shave.

    But it tastes so bad

    Congratulations Terry!
