    I did manage to sleep in a little later this morning. The Karve OC "D" plate arrived in yesterday's mail and I had to give it a go this morning. The CH2 Synthetic as usual was a joy to use. The circle of death in the soap was so large it took a little more effort to get a good load on the brush. I will move the remaining soap to the center before I use it next time. Now onto the star of the show, the new Karve OC plate. I have been fortunate enough to have owned or used most of the modern three piece razors, Wolfman, Timeless, ATT and the Karve. The Karve and Timeless are the only razors I have used that come close to the workmanship of a Wolfman. The Wolfman razors are a class above due to the final finishing step inside and outside of the razor. I have used the Karve D, E and F, safety bar plates. My preferences in order are the D, F and E. I like the D best for its feel, efficiency and ease of use. The E I felt was not as smooth or as easy to use without a big improvement in efficiency. The F plate's improved efficiency makes up for it not being as easy to use or as smooth as the D plate. Now for the D Open Comb. The D OC plate certainly has more blade feel than the D safety bar but is still very smooth. The efficiency today was better as well and should improve as I get the D OC dialed in over the next few shaves. I will admit I prefer OC razors so I am biased but I think I will really enjoy the D OC plate. I plan on using the razor over the next week or longer to get a really good feeling and will update my thoughts as I go. I am off to take my Mom to lunch and pick up her income tax stuff so I can get those done for her next week. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

    I agree, Randy. I'd rather go across the street and grab a dollar refill in my official Five Star travel mug. I'm not a fan of Fourbucks/Starbuzz coffee.

    Berginning Monday, my "menu" for the next 9days will feature Clubman(with a little Stoylin thrown in). Products that I want to use as much as I can as it gets a little warmer around here. (which takes time).
