Well, it's official. That SOB principal of ours just got another 2 years added to his contract. The board and Super like him, love him, want some more of him. :mad:

ugh..... Sorry to hear that. Around here we are all just waiting for 2012... super retires, most of the administration will leave, many of the old teachers have already stated that is when they are going to retire... 1/2 of the board will be retired... Of course, that is also the year that the state mandates a 100% passing rate on the state exam (which may be why everybody is bailing in 2012).

 

What a ridiculous goal. Don't they know you can't teach a brick? So now they're going to lower the test so the brick can pass.

Man that kind of crap just really pisses me off.

 

I remember several years back some colleges in MS lowered there standards so more people could get in. Made me feel good about how hard I worked to get my 26 on the ACT. Not a steller performance but good for what was going on at the time.

They've done it here with the fire department. A job when you would think you want the smartest, most fit person for the job, nope. We gotta meet quotas and political posturing damn the consequences.

Would you believe that they had to set up remedial reading and math stations in the fire academy? And then they wonder where the work ethic has gone (hiring people with no ethics) and wonder why they can't pass a college level Paramedic class (when many barely passed high school or struggled with a GED). They also had to special order one guys turnout gear, size 52!!! I may not be in the best shape, believe me there's plenty of room for improvement, but come on. That's ridiculous.

Doug is your principal related to my wifes principal? Sound like you have the same feelings as my wife. Unfortunately the Supe is even worse.

Shaved with the noxema this morning. Good stuff, not saying great or bad yet because I need to use it some more. It definately takes more of this cream than others. I used my normal amount and face lathered but only had enought for 3 passes and that was pushing it. May have to bowl lather it next time to see how much to use.

Rodd... your post about coffee got me thinking. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do really like tea.

I know Jen is a tea person. Anyone else in here not a coffee person?

 

You need more then 3 passes???? I do two with some touch up after the WH. Oh and morning

Morning Fuzzy. I usually do 4 passes with a touchup, every day. When I was still using vintage Gillettes it was more like 5-6.

Snowing today. We have pretty darn good weather the last 2 weeks so a little snow won't hurt us. Supposed to warm back up this weekend, just in time for another pheasant hunt.

Phone company screwed up my phone lines yesterday doing "updates" out of 6 phone lines I have one that is working. Not a very happy camper this morning.
