Great shave and picture, Jim! On weekends I put my brush to soak come down and get a pot of coffee brewing. The timing works well and I have coffee to sip while shaving. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I know what you mean. That's how I spotted the matching aftershave for Joseph. I just wish I knew more about the soap. Glad I could help.
I probably said this to you once before, but I wish "Smitty" at PAA would have just done a brief summary of Agharta instead of a "short story". Ditto with the Navy one(forgot the name).
March 31 Good morning fellas! I just finished shaving my 40 hr stubble. I decided to continue shaving with my newly acquired pre 1890 7/8 square point, near wedge Wosty. Face lathered the Stirling Sandalwood with my Semoque OC badger. Two passes gave me a superb BBS without any blood or irritation. This is the second time that I shaved with this razor and I have to say this is my top performer. I can't believe that this razor out gunned my heavy hitters, the 7/8 Friodur and the 15/16 Herder. Finished with Stirling Sandalwood AS. Although I only have 64 traditional SR shaves, this shave was my best. I normally do not give myself higher than a 98, but this is my best shave that I must go against my grading policy. Result: Grade A++ = 100 Have a great Sunday, guys! PS Does anyone who shaves with a near wedge or wedge straight believe they get a better shave than with a full or half hollow?
Oh Joseph! Best wishes for your colleague, that's a tough one. So a hay sent? Fresh cut or dry? I have a Weishi, one of my first razors, it taught me a lot. Glad you still have your chin . Keep up the good work, great shaves and wonderful reports. tp
Nice Jim. You really hit it out of the park not changing blades. The coffee is a nice touch! Great shave! tp
Keith, it is great and honest report. I have to say thank you for inspiring me to get the larger width straight razor blades. They are definitely fun and efficient shavers. You definitely are the "Max" King of straight razors!
He definitely gets a little out there on some of the marketing, but they are entertaining. The High Jump 47 soap (the Navy one) is dedicated to a Medal of Honor winner, so getting some of that story into the marketing is pretty cool in my opinion.
Jim, it's a nice shave and report! I also see that you are a proponent of Fuzzy's method of drinking coffee while shaving.
