  1. I have started an April thread for the shave of the day.
  2. Today's shave was "Perfection". I had a very smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Excellent Razor. The name says it all.

Razor- T.Hessen-Bruch & Co. "Perfection". Made in Germany.
    Brush- JR#262, WD Silvertip Badger.
    Soap- Arko Stick
    Aftershave- Florida Water.

  8. March Madness!!

    March 31

    Razor - '47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Moon Old School
    Brush - Semogue 620
    Post - Alum

Finishing up a Mild March Madness with the Aristocrat and Feather, using Moon Old School with the Semogue boar brush. Classic shave that went three passes, ended BBS and was as smooth as silk. Alum is silent and that brings my March to a very successful end. It was a fun month using mostly mild razors and never touching a Russian blade, Synthetic brush or Stirling soap. Ok, so maybe not fun because of not getting to use those things, but it was great to reconnect with some gear that often goes underused. A couple of quick notes on my thoughts on the month.

    1. Just because a blade isn't Russian doesn't mean it's bad. There is, however, a higher likelihood of that.
    2. Natural bristle brushes are quite nice to work with even though they do require a bit more work than the synths. I feel like, though, I am more skilled when using them. That vintage thing.
    3. There are a lot of really good soaps out there. It's a problem for the soap makers because competition is fierce. It's a good thing for consumers because competition is fierce.
    4. Tiger blades suck. Zorrik blades could use some help.

Have a great Monday and a fantastic week!

  10. Monday SOTD

Almost 3 days of growth! I pulled out the Razorock GC 84 baseplate with the new Weber Bulldog Handle and went to work. I face lathered again today - green tobacco, yummy. 3 simple passes with minimal buffing at the chin and jawline for a clean and comfortable shave. My face feels great before sleep (working the night shift x3). Have a wonderful day everyone. Happy shaves!

  11. All the Herders on display brought mine to mind. At the advice of @Billyfergie I used my white Arkie as my choice to refresh it. Excellent shave - it’s taken me a while to warm to the stainless steel but I think I’m over that now. :happy036:
