Visual Aid for stupidity here. Smoked last driving myself to the hospital while having a heart attack. I did pull the next one from the pack and vacuum seal it, just in case I needed my last (if you know what I mean). Got 4 stents. My doctor came for a visit that evening, looked at my chart, and told me "this should hold you as long as you quit smoking. Statistically you will be seeing the surgeon snd/or the undertaker in 5 if you don't. I said OK.
Not as exciting as you might think Gary. Had two half empty cans of Gatorade powder, yellow & blue. I poured them together and it's a green of sorts now. Couple hits on the Comoy Arcadia briar pipe with Dunhill London Mixture. It's a Virginia and Oriental blend with, to me, quite a Latakia hit. Imagine slightly floral, fairly fruity wet camp fire flavor.
I thought so. But had a extra day and night this last week. The water is all up around here so the fishing sucks. Good time to work extra.
Wow, and way to be the man! You held on to the habit until no choice. I gave up a pack a day menthol rotation for a substantially lowered quantity of better quality tobacco regime. Nicotine is still there, but no more paper. Never been a daily drinker. Not many beers that I enjoy. Hard ciders are tasty, and I like a Bourbon and Coke. Or a Bourbon and ice. Or Bourbon. I have practiced home brewing. Not a steady thing. Got to gather fresh fruit, process it, add sugar and yeast, check acid level, wait 6 weeks or so. making 7 gallons at a time is fun the first dozen times. My gear is getting dusty right now.
I picked up a 50 toro sampler from Thompson cigar. Some good some ok..but for less then a buck a stick not too fussy. Been off the pipe working on these.
thats cool, long as you're a happy camper..i used to work crazy hours myself, but my life suffered for it.. became a slave to bill collectors. now i just work 40 a week and enjoy myself..fishing is cool. did a lot of that as a younger guy, will do again one day..
Don't know if I've ever tried vindaloo. Heard of it. Ever watch Red Dwarf? Curry is familiar. Got a small jar of Red in the fridge but it's probably passed shelf life. The Green is spicier / hotter?
knocked my beer intake to a box a week,15 pack.was 3 boxes..smoking is next on the list.may try a pipe or cigar ..instead of the pack a day..
Fishing is OK long as it isn't just an excuse to drink beer. I like to actually catch some fish. Love a catfish on the line. They give a good fight. Got an Interstate borrow pit on the east side of town where I10 & I-210 meet up. Full of perch big as your hand or better. Not quite fillet size, but they fry up whole well.
I really did like to smoke. About 4.5 years now. Was joking with the Doc at my last visit. When he asked about the chokes, I confirmed that I was still off.......But the State's nicotine addiction was still going strong. He said if I felt that bad, I could just go down to the Casino nowadays.
I only recently began enjoying Indian food. I was never close to any Indian restaurants before moving to STL and just never tried it. However, delivering it over the past several months created some curiosity so I finally started doing a little research and asking some of the restaurant owners questions. I must say I regret not trying it sooner. I still have a lot to learn and a lot of different styles to try but I haven't been disappointed yet!
I'm Central Time, but have a flexible schedule. You East Coasters get up an hour early, and stay up late. Are you on the clock tomorrow Bill?
