Man does Stirling Green smell amazing! You get that nice bright fougere followed up by sheer sophistication as it dries down. I have no clue why this scent isn't part of the standard Stirling lineup.

Gotta get em all! I had D-503 but I wasn't to keen on the scent so I found a new home for it.

I agree with you on Stirling Green. Wonderful scent!

 

For those who have tried both what are the differences that Mutton Tallow brings to the table?

 

It is super slick and has a different face feel.

I am "not above" using my first of the 4 A.S. samples this week. I think we have one warm day, and I figured I'd try the Deep Blue Sea on that day. You'll get details in the SOTD.

 

We did for last Black Friday. It was called D-503. It may return at a later date, as I really like that scent.

Edit, just saw you'd already gotten some answers.

 

The mutton tallow soaps are thicker, richer, puffer, slicker and take more water. I think the natural scent bothers some more. Most of the mutton items are made in strong sometimes polarizing scents. I have the unscented and can detect what I think bothers some, but not me.

Stirling beef tallow soaps are top notch and come in a huge array of Glorious Stanks, and some I don't care for but others love.

I don't think you have a choice on which fat goes with which scent. I cannot say that I have found a soap that produces a better lather than Stirling mutton. Some as good, but not better.

Of course, getting the splash to you in Canada is a problem.

Not one of my favs..... incense and a little smokey, earthy, is what I get.

 

I have it on good authority that several guys On TSD dig dirty hippy girls. One “Sunny Peaches” comes to mind...

 

The scent profile, as well as some additional feedback, makes me think it is close to Ralph Lauren's Supreme Oud or even RL's Supreme Leather. From your feedback, I wonder if it is close or a match with Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather.
