I apologize Charlie. I did a poor job explaining. That was our previous home. I learned my lesson and will not buy any homes without her approval. I am ready to downsize now but she is not ready to move.
That's an excellent reminder, Neal...the part about welcoming and helping new wet shavers. That's why we ultimately exist. I didn't need the reminder about getting old and senile. Well, yes I did. I had actually forgotten... Hey, I don't think we've met...name here is Charlie...
April 2, 2019 Karve D Plate Open Comb Feather Simpson CH2 Synthetic Soapy Science Lollipop Citrus Myrsol de Limon It is amazing what a difference a day makes. While not perfect, I feel much better this morning. The CH2 Synthetic ate through the Lollipop Citrus whipping up a slick lather with ease. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of Myrsol Limon and I think I am ready for another day battling taxes. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
Quick shave report: Off to Tokyo for a biz meeting, the PRC Damascus blade did the work. I am posting this from Tokyo. It's just a 90-minute flight from Seoul.
I admire the same thing about @brit! It's a quality in someone to be celebrated. I have to tell you about a gentleman that works where I volunteer. He cleans the kid's rooms, but he's actually a gift from God to the kids and their families. He loves on the kids, and they love him. You can hear his voice when he comes down the hall, and I've seen kid's faces light up when they hear him coming. He wears a non-stop smile, and he has a great sense of humor. Not only do I respect this guy, I value his friendship and I want to be like him. People that don't stop and get to know "the janitors" in their lives are truly missing out. https://nortonchildrens.com/news/housekeeping-employee-guy-harvey-magic/
James, please post some photos of your car when you can. Yours must be a beauty. I loved seeing the cool British cars on the road when my Bride and I visited England.
April Focus Hemingway Accoutrements~~Rooney~~Detroit National Cut. Co.~~Burt's Bees Bay Rum SR #54 Hemingway Accoutrements (hereafter HA) update... You may recall, that my tub of HA developed the dreaded granules. After a few email exchanges with the CEO, Allen Crawley, they decided to send me a replacement tub. The new tub arrived yesterday and I noticed right away a huge difference in the soaps: You'll immediately notice the color difference. (BTW, new tub on left) You can even make out the granules in this picture: New Something clearly went awry in the saponification process. They also asked that I return the old tub and that they would send me a return shipping label. That didn't happen and I emailed Allen this morning, along with these photos, asking him again if he wanted the original soap returned. We'll see what his response is. I'll just bin it if they don't want it back. Straight razor shave #54 today. Starting Pitcher and Ace Reliever: The Motown Mower and Style 2 Rooney combined for a one-hit shut out. Missed a spot on my chin, but no nicks, no cuts, no irritation. ERA .090 Finished with a relic from the now-defunct Bay Rum league: Burt's Bees Bay Rum. Still has his stuff. Speaking of Rooney's. There was an auction for a Rooney Finest in Horn on Ebay last night. One mediocre picture, but I thought, what the heck, I'll try to snipe it. I put in a bid of $153.99. Went for $450.00! ($300 in the last 30 seconds)
