Thank you! When stressed, I write bass lines in CGAF. That's because I "Couldn't Give A F......" about stress! I'm into solutions!
Fatip Focus - Shave #2 Razor - Fatip Grande Blade - Feather (2) Brush - Bluebeard Doubloon Soap - TOBS Peppermint Post - Dior Sauvage Another 2.5 pass shave yielded a DFS. This came at the expense of several weepers. The shave was overall rather comfortable. I took my time and focused on angle and pressure. The weepers mostly came on the final half pass when my concentration wained and I reverted to the technique used with my EFBT. I hope to empty my tub of TOBS Peppermint and then move on to the other 2... Starting with Sandlewood I think! Onwards! Sent from my EML-L09 using Tapatalk
I remembered that you included it in your list last year. One of the reasons I chose it! Mine is a version 2 though! Sent from my EML-L09 using Tapatalk
Thank you Clint! If Stirling didn't provide such huge samples I'd only have one container of the soap. Giving options on menthol levels in AS is a First World Problem I'll get over, too. Raining here, too. The streets were flooded briefly but this Gulf Coast town is used to quickly getting flood water to the river where it belongs. With a high temp projected at 75F today and 82F tomorrow we'll be experiencing both humidity and heat. If it keeps this up I won't be able to get to the fishing hole without a boat.
I should use the SR more often to avoid the decay. I do enjoy a splash of The Veg on occasion especially after an ARKO lather.
April Focus Noble Otter Lonestar~~Rooney Emillion 2~~1958 D3 Adjustable~~Personna 74 The month is Adjustable April, so that's what I used today. ALTHOUGH, as was mentioned in an earlier post, if you don't "adjust" the setting during the shave, is it still an adjustable? Fatboy, opened up to "9". Personna 74 (Entering enable-mode) This Noble Otter Lonestar is really excellent. EVERY bit as good as Barrister & Mann, Stirling, Mystic Water, and a myriad of mid-range soaps. The lather is outstanding and this particular scent is like nothing I have in my den. Procured the AS from Maggard's (thanks @clint64 ) as if I need enabling. The juice not only smells great but leaves the skin completely hydrated and nourished. CANNOT wait to give my other Noble Otter soap/AS a spin: Nectar Amissa. Great shave/BBS results.
Good picture and write up Joseph. I hope I can stay away from Noble Otter for awhile. Thanks to you and Clint it may be difficult.
On this month;s survey, we see cookies&ice cream giving Adjustables sometime a run. Meanwhile Arko's baby and Ajustables baby, appear to be running a race separate from the others.
Thanks for the good report on NO......if I buy something from them, I'll have a "Texas Trifecta"(already enjoying The Soap Exchange and Central Texas Soaps).
Great shave and photo Jim. Excellent photo James. The Fatip looks great. Great looking shave Joseph. Glad I could help out.
Good question Doug. These Pinaud products currently come in about the cheapest plastic bottles available. Vintage was in glass but there's little of that available either unused product or empty containers. I think Joseph @Primotenore and I know I transfer/decant into glass when we take possession. Could be mine was setting on a shelf for a while before I bought it. While I can't say for sure that it improves or maintains the product, I have plenty of empty hot sauce bottles so it happens just for the fun of classing up the juice and moving the labels. English was never my favorite class, but I think I can parse that pair of statements. I may never own a high end $200+ brush or razor, but I enjoy living vicariously through you guys. Keep the Cavalcade of shiny things coming! Thanks Perry! Between late night and early morning shavers there's still a gap. Targeted recruiting of new 30 DC members in those low post count time slots/geographic zones could fix the erratic flow. And make us again consider opening up those side conference rooms off the Main Room. Who's up for the first 10k post month?
I was trying to see ow many negatives I could string together in one sentence. I'm now sending it off to an English teacher for her opinion. I'll get back to everyone.
