April 4 Good afternoon guys! I just finished my shave. I decided to shave with my Dovo shavette and the Personna hairshaper blade once again. I lathered with Williams and I did not molest it. Fuzzy would approve! Painted it on my face with my Semogue badger. Two passes, minor neck touchup, one weeper on the neck and irritation free. I would say that it was just shy of BBS because I feel a tiny amt of invisible stubble under my jawline. I have to say it was a very nice shave. The Williams does not produce a thick lather and it is not very slick. Therefore, I had to be extra careful with my shavette by going very light pressure. I usually add Noxema Classic Cleansing Cream to get a nice rich, luxurious lather, but I decided against it. The next time that I use Williams, I will add the Noxema. Result: Grade 96 = A Have a great evening, guys!
Joe, I don't have that problem with Williams. Are you loading a good amount with the brush and it does take a while to work up into a lather but it does get there for me.
Jason I want to wait on more reviews before I buy a Shavemac Synthetic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Danny, I load the brush and get a lot of lather on the brush and it looks thick, but I get bubbles. It isn't my technique. The problem is that NY city water is hard and it causes problems with Williams. If you go on YouTube, then Nick Shaves has a review on Williams and has the same problem. He lives in Massachusetts and I guess he also has hard water. Using the Williams today, I produced the best unmolested lather ever, but it still falls short. I like Williams, but I probably still will molest it.
I thought I'd seen all of Belushi's work but that was new to me. Thank you Charlie! It's amazing what the protopeople can do at their young age. Teach them a little kitchen safety and stand back. Cupcakes happen! (Note to the CT Committee - "Duct tape is silver")
