These Bests can take some breaking in, so it's getting regular use. It's already performing great, but scrubbier than I'm used to.

Well, it does, mainly because I bought a scent oil duplication of the Bois d'Orage scent and shipped it to Irena of Ginger's Garden and she made me these custom shaving soaps. And I used unscented Sterling Soaps aftershave as a base and used a tiny fragrance funnels to put some fragrance into the aftershave bottle and let it macerate for a month. So now I have a matching shaving set. Takes some work to make it happen but it's worth it for years of enjoyment.

    Arko Adjustable April

    April 4

Razor - 1972 (S2) Gillette Super Adjustable (Black Beauty) (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - The Canuck
    Post - Alum

Time to change razors and blade so let's go from the Toggle to the "newest" Gillette adjustable in my den, the Black Beauty. Still on 9, of course, and I'll go with the Rapira Platinum Lux for the blade. Sharp and smooth, this is one of my top Russians and should provide some great shaves. Still with Arko for April and the Canuck will do just fine to make enough lather to share with everybody.

I like the long handle on this razor and it has good weight to it as well. Makes it a very nice shaver that requires no extra help from me other than to get the angle right. Two passes and I was going to call it good but just couldn't resist another pass. That got me as smooth as I'll ever be so it was worth the effort......and the fun of the extra pass. This will be a good few nights of shaving, I can tell.

Friday beckons! Then the weekend! Hope you have fun things planned, or profitable, or at least productive. And yes, naps count as productive. Cardinals home opener is tomorrow!!!

Thanks Robbie, but I give credit to a previous Android phone. It took great photos. My current one has as many megapixels but is less sophisticated. I make up for it using the free Snapseed app, and sometimes a little long out dated Paintshop program editing on the laptop.

Charlie @wristwatchb got me a photography scholarship at the local tech school. It helped with my skills but we don't talk about the parking situation.
(;) A 30 Day Crew inside joke. Those guys keep me so busy I don't have much time to visit here in SOTD Land)

    Thursday SOTN

Arko day #2. And out comes my Fatboy... Haven't used him in a while. I think he was getting jealous... 3 passes (5,6,6) with minor touch-up. Clean and refreshed for bed. Happy Friday gentleman.
