I decided on a late evening shave before bed. It was a very relaxing way to end the day. Two passes, a few touch ups, and I'm still smooth this morning. First pass WTG on my face & ATG on my neck. Second pass is ATG everywhere. Exception is my upper lip...WTG on 1st pass & XTG on 2nd pass. Finally, a few touch ups around my mouth and chin. Just for fun, I'll occasionally go for a third, but not tonight. The incremental benefit is usually not worth the risk of irritation.
With a super light touch, I can minimize the roughness of the Feather blade on its first shave. I lost count, but I think I had three shaves on this blade. It was still smooth and sharp when I binned it after the shave was complete. I'm '3 and out' on DE blades.
The weight and feel of the Weber is just about perfect, and the grippy stainless steel Bulldog handle is a favorite. It's a shame you can't find Weber DE's anymore. I'm glad I jumped on a couple of them when they were available.
C.O. Bigelow cream just flat out works, and it's cheap! I'm not a huge menthol fan, but I enjoy using this cream on occasion. I'm currently working through this tube, and I have a couple more in storage. I've been using my 30 DC LE brush for awhile now. No pre-soaking required. Just pick it up and go to work. It has been a joy to use.
That's my story. I may shave again this afternoon as we are planning to meet some friends for dinner. Taxes today.
Happy Friday!
