  1. It's good to see you posting, Chris. I'm sorry about the scrape on the cue ball. I would say it happens to all of us, but I don't shave my gord. I choose to go bald naturally. However, I watched Batman as a kid, and Egghead was one of my favorite villians. I digress...:)

Congratulations on your daughter's success at school and for finding a medication that works. This is awesome news!

    Weber DE
    Feather (3)
30 Day Crew LE figured maple handle w/APShaveCo Tuxedo knot
    C.O. Bigelow
    Thayers WH & USB

I decided on a late evening shave before bed. It was a very relaxing way to end the day. Two passes, a few touch ups, and I'm still smooth this morning. First pass WTG on my face & ATG on my neck. Second pass is ATG everywhere. Exception is my upper lip...WTG on 1st pass & XTG on 2nd pass. Finally, a few touch ups around my mouth and chin. Just for fun, I'll occasionally go for a third, but not tonight. The incremental benefit is usually not worth the risk of irritation.

With a super light touch, I can minimize the roughness of the Feather blade on its first shave. I lost count, but I think I had three shaves on this blade. It was still smooth and sharp when I binned it after the shave was complete. I'm '3 and out' on DE blades.

The weight and feel of the Weber is just about perfect, and the grippy stainless steel Bulldog handle is a favorite. It's a shame you can't find Weber DE's anymore. I'm glad I jumped on a couple of them when they were available.

C.O. Bigelow cream just flat out works, and it's cheap! I'm not a huge menthol fan, but I enjoy using this cream on occasion. I'm currently working through this tube, and I have a couple more in storage. I've been using my 30 DC LE brush for awhile now. No pre-soaking required. Just pick it up and go to work. It has been a joy to use.

That's my story. I may shave again this afternoon as we are planning to meet some friends for dinner. Taxes today.

    Happy Friday!

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy (F1, 1960)
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Full force Fat Friday. Gobs of lather whipped up by the Omega boar that was swiped away with ease by the Fatboy. Nice shave all around.

It's been a busy week and I'm certainly glad it's Friday. Have a great day!
