    Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #340 Badger
    H. Böker 5/8

    Lucky Tiger

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Amalfi Basil Lemon Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #340 Badger brush. I did two passes with the H. Böker 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

User-grade Filly 14, fresh off a re-hone. I just wasn’t getting that baby dolphin thing out of it anymore, so a little stone work was in order, details in the honing thread.

Cream was Acqua di Parma lathered with a Rooney 3/2 three-band Heritage with the nuclear bloom, and a dab of AdP balm made me BDBS. The edge is back!

As weird as this may look, it is extremely well behaved and fun to use. With the loss of the shoulder you get a little more sound and flex, which I like. :)

Thanks Steve. I enjoyed this modification. I did feel bad about just how much I changed it but I can’t shave with a crack like this... so didn’t feel too bad. ;)

I guess you could date the razor, if you are really desperate, but be careful kissing, she might bite.

Tonight's razor was a Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me smooth as silk. Thick and heavy blade. Shaved more like a wedge, because of the wear on it.

    Razor- Hamburg Ring. Solingen.
Brush- RazoRock 400. WD High Mountain Badger knot.
    Soap- ARKO
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

    Thank you.
No Sheffield or England on it. Not sure the timing of the different uses of For Barbers Use, For Gentleman’s Use, or this one’s For Barbers Only. Add to that a probable regrind and that throws me off some more.
All that said maybe 1840-1880 ish. I lean towards earlier in the window because of the plural “Wade & Butchers”. Used to seeing it with no “s” later.

I have always admired the big Dorko razors but the prices seemed out of reason. Finally found one, NOS for a non-insane price. It came with all the original packaging. The factory edge was impressive and delivered an epic shave out of the gate.

It is a 7/8 full hollow but the grinding is not super thin, which is good. It does not have any flex.
Does anyone have an idea when this was made?
