1. The Floating Head introduces a lather channel, gap, and most importantly very short guard span. You need one.

  3. This is one case where the price is justified by both performance and build quality. My Timeless 95 if for sale to give you some idea.

  14. 20190520_191835.jpg 20190520_191835.jpg I recently bought a three piece Cooper that was made to take the special blades I agree with the people that say all you have to do is push your blade down on the stud or just tighten the razor. Two shiny little scratches are made where the blade scrapes the stud at the end where it meets the head. Doesn't bother me.
Now to the shave. I use my own homemade thick slick leather. With an Astra sp blade I would say it's on a par with an New Gillette - medium mild with definite blade feel but no irritation. Not much audible feedback if that's your thing. I prefer my monobilt more.. I think the shave is smoother and more efficient. I get the smoothest and best shave out of all the razors I've tried from my Fine Marvel razor - so good and easy that it has become boring. After using it I swore I would would never get another one. Yeah, promises, promises.

  15. I get a better shave from the three piece though it's not a big difference. I find both Coopers much more effective ATG than the Gillette New LC/ND.[IMG]

  16. It's been a long time since I shaved with the New. You're right about the ATG though. Love the Coopers. Really outstanding!
