I find that they are different in comparison to each other, but both of superb quality. Soap Commander is a vegan soap and Stirling is tallow soap, so there are differences there. I find both of them to be very slick with exceptional post-shave feel. Stirling's scents are more numerous and more compelling on the whole. The customer service and family atmosphere of both companies is hard to beat.

That could only be the lower neck, of course. Going straight across like a safety razor will never happen. So I tinker with other angles and combinations. Now and then I manage to inch closer.
