hi, I’m Angelo85, new member of The Shave Den. I’ve been wet shaving with a DE safety razor since September of 2016. I live in Philadelphia, PA and I’m 33 years old. I converted to traditional shaving because I grew tired of the crappy cartridge razors slicing me to ribbons; as well as the below subpar shaves I got from electric shavers. One can say I have EAD, everything acquisition disorder. I have about 50-60 shave soaps; 50+ aftershaves; 40 DE razors; 20+ synthetic brushes and more blades than I can count. I also have my own YouTube channel called Wet Shaving With Angelo. I can’t wait to see and hear from my fellow TSD members here on the forum.
Welcome to TSD @Angelo85! Glad you signed up and brought your experience with you. From your story sounds like you followed the path that brought many of us to Wet Shaving. With the well stocked set of gear you've gathered what's your preference? Any favorite type or style of razor? Developing you preference for certain soaps or brushes? Are you a balm or AS post shave kind of guy? Feel free to post photos! Everyone here likes Razor Porn.
Welcome to The Shave Den, Angelo. You have serious accumulation disorders, and you'll get no help here! We're glad to have you aboard, my friend.
My favorite type of razor are vintage Gillettes. Currently my favorite shave soaps are from PAA; especially their CK6 formula and I’m strictly an aftershave kinda guy. I love the bracing feeling of a good alcohol aftershave. When it comes to brushes I’m exclusively synthetic as I personally get the best lathers from synthetic brushes and they’re usually more affordable.
