    Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Gentleman
    Soap: RazoRock Tuscan Oud
    Razor: Vintage Gillette Slim
    Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus (17)
    Brush: Knotsinyourhead/Whipped Dog Silvertip-20mmx48mm
    Aftershave: RazoRock Tuscan Oud

RazoRock Tuscan Oud today. 20 seconds to load the Knotsinyourhead/Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Platinum-Plus still in the Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with RazoRock Tuscan Oud aftershave.

53777930-D57F-4D35-A8EB-52CA0D242E17.jpeg So today I reached for the Merkur Mergress as opposed to a vintage Gillette adjustable. The Mergress is just so good, not necessarily better than my Progress, just different. It feels very solid in the hand and the fit of everything just feels smoother to me adjustment wise. Loaded with a fresh Polsilver IR this razor is just incredible.

Soap of the day Stirling Executive Man with the matching AS. Love the scent and performance and it falls only second to a seasonal Stirling scent; “Weekend in Malibu” for favourite Stirling scent in the rotation. WiM is good enough to take you away from the dreary winter to the sunny beach in just one shave! But I digress...

Simpson Colonel was again called on and a wonderful lather employed to complete a lovely two pass near BBS shave. Happy Wednesday all and Happy Shaves!

The Damaskeene (not an open comb) is very very very mild for me and requires a lot of work to get an acceptable shave. Goes back on the shelf. All the other parts worked well though. Now go enjoy your day folks

Derby USTA test in my two favorite mild razors, Stahly and Baili/RR DE1, no problem at all with sharpness. Feels great. Can't speak as to whether they are same blades as Derby Extra Premium but they're fine for me. IMG_20190410_092253-01.jpg

German made Razor, somewhat new, for me. I had a fantastic 2 pass shave, with minor touch-ups, that left me BDBS. Fantastic brand of razor. IMHO, better quality than Wade & Butcher.

    Razor- F.W.Engel's "Special".
Brush- RazoRock 400, WD High Mountain Badger
    Soap- TOBS Eton College
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Ferdinand Magellan Coin Decanter(Shulton Old Spice Cologne).

    Gillette Senator Razor
    Bic Chrome Platinum Blade
Vintage Czechoslovakian Triumph Boar Brush (restored)
    Williams Shave Soap (modern)
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Vintage Shulton Old Spice After Shave

I've always wanted to have a Senator, and thanks to @Jrdelgado sending me his for a case to make, I finally had the chance to shave with one. I didn't shave for a few days, and just one word can describe the shave I had with it............ Sweet. It had the cutting power of my favorite Open Comb, the Bostonian, and the smoothness of my '48-'50 Aristocrat. It was the best shave I ever had in two passes, BBS smooth and very comfortable. Yep, I need to get one.............
