Yep. It's 8am here, but I've been up since 6. Like I said...too freakin' early. Shawn the Feather goes to hell after one shave for me. It's a great 1st shave. The very next shave is average to just a bit above average. The 3rd shave is barely passable. It has no lasting power on me. Hell, even that first shave sometimes is rough because the blade is too sharp. I'm not a huge Feather fan, but it's getting me through until those blacks come in. Of course they aren't even ordered yet so I might have to search out something else in the meantime. Depends when Jo can get them.
I think you nailed it Fuzzy. A guy across the street took pics of different blades and the feathers were noticeably thinner but sharper. Which of course means that they dont last as long. I am no expert but sure can tell when the edge starts going south! BTW....WARS is http://www.shavingessentials.net/shaving_creams.html
Check out ebay. There are a few sellers who have them. The dude, dridiot sells them by the 100 on there too. Or you can just get 10 count packs from Double Edge Shaving Place. They are another ebay store.
You guys suck. I was planning on using this valobra that's been sittin patiently for a long time, I was going to use it but now with all ths WARS talk.......................... Yeup, fuzzy you are right about knife edges, the sharper they are the quicker they are to dull, all breaks down to physics.
Bong, WARS is just really good stuff I cant see any of the ingredients that are different but the lather just looks and feels different. I have been contemplating on finishing a product of mine and I think the WARS might be a good candidate. That or the Speick. I bashed Speick a while back but learned NOT to skimp on it. To little really results in a poor lather.
You know whats funny....well not funny about the valobra menthol. I got some when I was in Boston at Colonial......the stuff had no menthol kick in it at all! I sold it to Sanpaku and even warned him of the no menthol. I would had returned it but already got home with it. That is the only reason that I havent gone back to it either The soft cream/soaps are also a bit tricky to work with but still fantastic stuff as with the Cella you gave me.
Small world I know him, Sanpaku is in Seattle. We set up a trade and I met him in town to do the trade. Good guy, he gave me all sorts of out of the way shave stuff to try that he picked up on his traveling. I have some menthol latum that giovanne sells, its a concentrated menthol cream you can add to anything to give it some more menthol kick. Maybe I'll add some of that.
You could always just get some menthol crystals. Rodd sold me some a while back. Honestly, a 4oz bag would last a lifetime. No bulls**t. I could send you some if you want.
Any of you guys see this when it was active?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=300294367407 I bet somebody already inquired about buying those razors by themselves. ......... That Old Spice mug still has the soap in it too. Bet she would ship it to someone for all of $5-$7. Trust me, the seller has NO IDEA!!!
I believe Tom Marr was talking about it the other day. I have searched for some info online, to no avail. In all the years I have been listening to this man, I have never heard him utter distruths. If he broadcasts it on his show, you can take that to the bank!!
Oh I believe it... dumbass Clinton.. the Mr. Was back talking about renewing his gun ban.. GRRRRRRRRRR. What A crock. Fuzzy
They are also bringing back the "Fairness Doctrine". Of course, it will not be called that anymore. It will no doubt be something that will fly under the national radar, and slip in like a thief in the night. And that will end conservative talk radio as we know it. Fuzzy, do yourself a favor during the week. Keep this station playing in a seperate window on you PC....... http://www.wcbm.com/ From 6am, it is a treasure trove of information.
