Matches my experiences as well. They just aren't worth it. I would rather have three great shaves in a row from a blade than the Excellent, OK, Crud rapid dulling effect of the feather.

I have purchased from dridiot before. Transaction went well. Of course, he would have been stringing me along waiting for the bulk orders to come in...

No kidding. Those are good deals. But I don't need them and couldn't sell them either. But somebody else will buy them and sell them on here for huge profit. Works that way too often.

nice score...hope the blades work out for you I wish I had the patience to go shopping. We have a ton of antique stores around here but very few flea markets anymore The Mexicans destroyed the ones we had. Fortunately though I dont collect razors anymore I never had RAD that bad anyways. Got up to 15 razors I believe and back down to 5.

Maybe its similiar to the B&B fragrance train(which i think derailed?). I wish I wouldve know b/c if it is.....I just just sold off the majority of my stuff Maybe a way to include large(1-2 oz samples of each item) everybody pitch in and start it rolling? I have stuff I'd contribute.

 

What it is, is someone gets a box and puts stuff in it. This person sends it off to the next person who takes some stuff out and puts some stuff in repeat till it gets back to the first person who keeps what's left.

 

Cool.. but I rarely have anything that anyone would want.... just cheapo stuff except for things that I have been given...

Sat down in front of the TV just in time to begin Hockey DAY in Canada. Somewhere Badger Bob Johnson is smiling.

 

We will see what kind of response you get. The shipping alone would be pricey after a while. The stuff I sent Hoglahoo was $10 and that was just about 6 pds worth. Maybe if everyone put samples(1/4 oz to 1/2 oz) in and sent around. The only downside is that everyone would add in the Derby SC, puck of Williams, etc and the end recipient would be left with a box of crap? Maybe post something in the general section to see if there are any takers. The only problem I could anticipate is everyone thinking its a great idea and wanting to have there shot at it but not adding to the project? Of course it would be a newbs dream! But chunking a puck of VDH in wouldnt help the cause. I have noticed the members are less likely to "give up" there creams and soaps. I have not had good luck with overall help from the community in a whole....I prefer contacted those who I know have the stuff or might have it. I honestly wish there were more WTB for samples of stuff(which also result in a PIF)
Yes, there are those out there that are very generous and helpful and be willing to give you the shirt or (shave stuff) off their back. Most of those participate in this thread btw

It has been easier for me personally to find what someone is interested in and sending them samples. One possible problem is that the people that have it all or tried it all...dont really want to try the same ol stuff? There is honesty not much that i want to try and honestly dont think that those products would make it in the mix?

Who knows.....throw it out there and see where it falls I wanted to start an AS decant store but didnt see any interest. There were a few folks but the general public said no AS train would be nice though 1 oz bottles passed around?

I have a ton of sample containers that are only a 1/9oz but still works.(Not for Shep though) he uses a 1/4 cup of SC to lather:happy102
