  2. They are a pain to sand out. Mark had me polish his 400 made by Tom. I’m in the process of sanding and polishing up my Alpha 400 as well. I was completely unsatisfied with the polish work done before delivery. The new brushes don’t have inclusions which make the work much easier.

  11. I've done a few ugly razors, if they are bad I start out with 400 wet/dry. Go to 600 wet/dry to take out the big scratches. Always have the work wet to wash off the junk that sands away. IF I am going to paint it I stop there and paint. IF I want the meatal look I go to 1500 wet/dry till the heavy scratches are gone. Then I polish with Polishing Compound light to medium till it shines.
Would be nice to know what others do.

  14. It really depends on how you want the brush to look. Getting it cleaned up and looking good is fairly easy. Getting a mirror shine takes more time and patience.

  16. I do basically the same thing except I take it to 3000 wet before moving onto the polish.

  17. SOTD:
Todays shave was my first with a cream in two weeks, and it reminded me why i love soaps so much, i just find them slicker. However it was a beautiful shave and creams are plenty slick so cream's will always be in my rotation and travel kit for sure!!!

  20. Definitely! I'm really suprised that its lasted so long, but i only replace a blade when it begins to tug so its still working perfectly, the sharpness has declined a bit, id say its about as sharp as a brand new Derby but no tugging yet!
