The lined wedge always takes me a while... Poured the resin a few weeks ago and used this copper sheet: 0.008” thick. Used 2 part Gorilla Glue epoxy and let it set a week. And it was about a 2:1 ratio front to back. The black marks allow me to get the right width while cutting away the outside sections, which are normally a little bent with the cutting. Here it is mocked up after some cutting and shaping. Using the dremel here. And I will use a higher grit drum to get it closer and then sandpaper on a socket to finish up. I’ll show her finished in the next post.
Finished the wedge as close as I want to go . Then pinned her up with some Nickel Silver rod and beautiful cup washers. These are those ones from seller ajkenne on the bay. And side. And my favorite shot. Not quite as silver as I wanted, so maybe not the best tribute to my FatBoy. And I am waffling on adding the yellow... good enough for now. Enjoy your projects! Tom
