While shaking my brush dry before this morning's shave, I accidentally got some of the water into the soap puck. That is most certainly BWI (Blooming Without Intention). Startled me somewhat, but it didn't bother my shave overall. Ready for the day(which includes a gym workout later this morning...a Saturday ritual).

I was very happy to sleep in this morning. Swati is gone to a beading show with a friend, so I plan on an enjoyable relaxing day at home. The most stressful thing I have planned is taking the SOTD photos for the upcoming week. The "Soap Destroyer" ate through the MW Vetiver and Oakmoss soap. Adding water slowly while face lathering produced a rich slick lather. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Sounds like a great day, Clint.
You didn't want to go to the beading show?

It's where you pay @BaylorGator money, and he sends you stuff he doesn't want anymore so his Bride will be less upset with him. And then he can buy more stuff that he eventually will not want and rekindle his Bride's anger. It's seems like he should pay us money to take these misfit toys off his hands and stop this vicious spiral. But what do I know?

IMO, riding the cap is a reminder to find the correct blade angle for a particular razor....the angle in which the blade slices the whiskers cleanly with no tugging or scraping. I envision the blade edge running parallel to the flat skin surface, ideally just cutting the hair and never touching the skin surface.

Thank you Jim. No I think I will pass on the beading show. I help here setup and man the table or booth when she is a vendor but I have only went to one bead show. At that show I hung outside and read TSD threads instead of walking around. :D

Congrats Carl. It sounds like you're making steady progress on your journey and having some fun along the way. It's good to hear from you. Have a great weekend, my friend.

Well, Danny. You got 'em clean and shiny and then laid them in the dirt. Just so you know, they're not as pretty now. :happy102:

This link was emailed to Italian Barber subscribers like it was some kind of top secret offering. I thought it was interesting, but it's not for me either. Everyone is getting on board with new shaving toys these days. It's nice to see products offered at affordable price points.

I recently heard about a guy that found a great deal on Tabac and purchased 7 pucks to get free shipping. The 40 years it will take to use up the soap negates any perceived cost savings. The ultimate joy is in the hoarding. It takes all kinds. :)
