The British are funny people. I got a kick out of how they draw "things" on dusty windows walking through London almost every window that was dirty had dirty graphity on it.
We spent a few days in London. It was an amazing place with so much cool stuff to see...and so very different from the English countryside. The downside was that everything there is very expensive. I hope to go back sometime.
thank you Charlie .no sir, my friend collects clocks, darn expensive for nice ones..this was a find in the wild per se,closet in a condemned house many years back. works but needs a service..i just collect neat looking and functioning stuff for my man cave/garage/hangout..
April 13 Good afternoon, fellas! Just completed another shave! Gear: Dovo Shavette Personna Hairshaper Blade Omega 49 Boar Brush. Stirling Satsuma Soap Stirling Satsuma Aftershave. Did 3 passes to shave my 1 day growth. One weeper on my lower lip just a little larger in size than a period on a page. Used Pinaud's styptic pencil and it disappeared without a trace. Achieved a marvelous BBS shave without any irritation. I took my time to enjoy the shave. Approximate time was 20 minutes. Also, I have to say that this scent is fantastic! It is right up there with Piacenza, but Piacenza wins by a nose! Yes, the pun was intentional. Lol!. Result: Grade 98 = A+ Have a great afternoon, guys!
That's what the Gen. Montgomery character did in the Patton movie-"drew Africa on a window after breathing on it.
I loved Keeping Up Appearances! Dame Patricia Routledge, who played Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced bouquet) was really funny. Clive Swift, who recently died, played the henpecked husband, Richard Bucket. Her best friend Elizabeth was always spilling coffee because she was nervous around Hyacinth. Elizabeth's brother was always trying to avoid Hyacinth. Hyacinth's family were lowbrow folks. It was a very funny show. British humor is different than what Americans are use to watching. I would suggest watching these episodes on YouTube. Two other Britcoms that I enjoyed were Are You Being Served and As Time Goes By. The latter starred a very young Judi Dench. American audiences would know her as M in the later James Bond films.
Thanks Clint! It's amazing with all the great straight razors that I have acquired, this humble shavette is one of my most favorite razors.
April Adjustable Barberhshop Saturday Route 66 Barbershop Hop SS B-400 Omega Pro98 27mm Suribachi bowl, cool water The Bunny Injector, Wild comb Pinaud Clubman AS Lotion Nothing fancy. Just a powdery barber shop scented shave. The Bunny & B-400 make a fun pair. Both efficient at their designed tasks. Three passes on three days growth for no errors and silky smooth. Good shaves y'all!
Rick, you have a nice setup. The razor could be nicknamed "The Corporal" because of the chevron design. Great report and shave!
