I bought a tub of Wilkinson sword in the blue UFO form thinking i was getting the same soap as my old one. To my surprise the lemon factory blew up somewhere and Edgewell captured the juice and scented my soap with it. Tomorrow will be judgement day. vintage (i guess)

I do the inverted pass as a touchup. I learned it from Eric Latta of Adventures in Wet Shaving on You Tube. It is a difficult maneuver to master because you have blind spots despite turning your head to the side while viewing the mirror.

 

I have a similar one in black.

Well, a few hours ago I was pretty sure you wouldn't hear from me tonight. Plans were to stay busy all night with work. Funny how things change. Talk about gremlins being about. I had issues with all three of the apps I need to run with, killed one to run the other two and found out I couldn't turn them off, went through the process of removing them and reinstalling them, only to find that the other two were now acting up.......yeah.....gremlins running wild in the Lou tonight. I finally gave up in order to let my IT department take a look at it. (After I finished looking at it I do believe it's fixed). Guess I need a hat with all the titles on it now...just flip it around based on what I'm doing. Anywho - with all of the delay and everything else I decided to call off the shift. I can do that. I'm the boss.

So......the shave that wasn't actually was! Third time on the Fatboy with Rapira Chrome along with Arko. The JR312 with the faux horse knot is just so awesome looking and great to use. Had no trouble with the Arko. Everything went well. Three passes, no issues......oh wait......gremlins again. I somehow got the angle off near my goatee on the right jawbone and left a little blood behind. Alum took care of it and I'm going to stay in a brightly lit room for the rest of the night. Gotta keep those gremlins at bay! Have a great night and a better Sunday!

How does the tub soap compare with the real stuff....you know the shave stick.

 

Rick, I am glad you discovered a creative way to use Williams. However, let's not tell Fuzzy because he may have a canary! Lol!

 

Yea getting tone in these forums can be tough.

 

Actually I cheat. The "tub soap" you see is actually sticks that I grate and press into the Seaforth mug. I did buy an Arko puck when I first tried it and I couldn't really tell any difference in how it performs from the stick, other than you load the brush instead of rubbing it all over your face. I figured out this trick when I bought a 12 pack of Arko and realized it would be stupid to pay money for another puck of it when I can make my own. The Seaforth mug, by the way, holds 1.5 sticks when it's full.

 

Stephen, a good shave and report. Also, that's a pretty cool move to try to get Stirling soaps with your wife as the main buyer.

I don't like canarys... they are loud and smell bad. Lol. I am unsure about the chug chug part here. Was that the additional menthol ? I am going to scent some Williams myself. As long as not trying to change the lather it is not molesting!

 

Awesome. I grated some shave sticks when I got into this hobby. Then found I loved the shave sticks as is. Great looking shave!
