Very sweet shave tonight indeed. I tried to keep the Arko a little wetter than my usual and I maintained a slick shave for all 3 passes. No sign of this Voskhod blade giving up yet. Very close and effortless smooth shave with the Gillette British Flat Bottom Tech on a Weber Bulldog Handle - Probably my best with it yet. Have a great night all!

Nice report on the Meißner. I owned a tub of the Strong 'N Scottish (paste) and while I really liked the scent and the shave, I could not tolerate the way it stained my towels. Sold. The Dark Limes (puck), while almost a black soap, lathered grey, but never stained. Piffed.

Menthol Monday's Shave

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Kiss My Face Shave Cream face lathered very easily with Jayaruh #331 Boar brush and had a very nice minty coolness. The Enders razor loads very easily by pushing the blade in from the back and getting a little click. I did two passes with the Enders Speed Shaver razor with the Enders Speed Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. The Rub gives an immediate freezing coolness followed by a long-lasting coolness. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Good morning friends. A very enjoyable three pass shave today with the Muhle R41 fitted with a Rapira Platinum Lux. Marvelous, rich, beautifully scented lather from the Route 66 shave soap. I finished with Fine L’Orange, smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends.

Catie’s Bubbles La Terre Verte today. 20 seconds to load the Wildwest Brushworks/Elite Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Platinum-Plus still in the Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Southern Oud aftershave.

What a potent freeze this was and what a shave - the Glacial Wintergreen soap buried my face in awesome lather that was so rich as well as super slick, that delightful wintergreen scent was so enjoyable, not to mention how frigid the menthol was, and the postshave feeling was perfect. The matching balm, witch hazel, and Snake Bite aftershave soothed and froze my skin even more. This shave left me absolutely BBS!

15 April 2019 - Menthol Monday

I have to say that this morning's shave was non-taxing in every respect. Using tried and true products certainly yielded expected dividends. Nary a whisker was exempt from reduction. If I was pressed to itemize which elements of this shave were most responsible for such a fine result, I'd have to say that jointly, the Proraso Green soap & splash contributed the most.
