  6. Excellent setup and photo, Jason! Beautiful brush. The handle of that Trac II looks a lot like the Schick Revere injector.
  7. Thanks Joe
    Getting better every day, slowly.
The world here is busy, not any free time. Still doing some nice shaves, will report those later, when time allowes.

  10. Hi gents!
I had a great shave this morning! I am still using my Dovo shavette. However, I am using Stirling's Glastonbury soap and face lathering with my Rocky synthetic. 3 passes and my 40 hr stubble did not stand a chance. Slight weeper under my nose, but disappeared with my Modessa witch hazel. This was a nice BBS shave w/o irritation. Applied the matching aftershave. This is the 3rd time I have used this soap and aftershave and the scent is very mild. It smells like fabric softener, but it quickly loses it scent. The aftershave has the same quality. I will use up these items, but will not purchase them again. The soap performs like it should, but I am still disappointed with this scent.
    Result: Grade 97 = A+
Make it a great day, fellas! 20190416_112410.jpg 20190416_112410.jpg

  13. hello fello shavers, taking a rest at home day today,,so i thought i would have a post today's shave..still trying to build era type shave sets but it will take time and $ to get them spot on..so ,a late 40s shave..#77 british new rfb set,may try a blue blade one day, but today the gillette spoiler with a few laps on it already.the canadian fuller brush with its original boar knot load the erasmic soap in the rexall stag bakelite soap dish and built a nice captains bowlful of fine, slick lather.2 combination passes later and i got a smooth dfs+ shave..razorock puros in the seven sisters bottle to finish, a fantastic shave indeed.need to find a 40-50s aftershave bottle to dial this kit in..enjoy your day everyone.. 20190416_112625.jpg
  14. Thanks for the history lesson, Danny!

  17. Love that soap label. L'Orange Verte translates to The Green Orange. Is it tart?

Kubrick & McDowell with Russian slang? What's not to love?
  18. Posting from the past, trying to catch up. I couldn't let Jason's comment just lay there.
Poetic alliteration that just screams for a CT!
  19. thank you Danny, i may even do a vintage face lather like i used to do with williams..prefer the bowl though..
  20. Thank you, Joe!
