    Just simply beautiful Jason.

Excellent post John. I have not used a safety razor drunk but I can attest to the challenge of using one hung over. :eatdrink047:

    Zenith Copper Handle Boar
    Blackland Dart
    Feather

    Proraso AS

Lost the fight this morning. Neck weeper overload on second pass. Attack placement with the Feather just kicked my rear. Several places of the weepers the landing spot as I worked the neck. No irritation, really surprised. Gentleman Jon to the rescue. Took 2 passes. Otherwise....an overall acceptable shave.

The Zenith copper handle is a new acquisition. Used a few times when I didn’t have time to post here. Appears to be the same knot as the Semogue OC boar I have. Lots of water spots give it character now. Still working on break in, but really nice already.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thank you Clint. Yours was eye catching, too. That SOC Taj brush is tempting.
Thanks Patrick! Loving the view of your new lathe. What kinds of wood do you have on hand to start?
Thanks Andrew! Enough to remind me of a boar knot, without the flop of some badgers. Could be it's set just deep enough.

    Thanks, Clint!
I do have a green brush but it's a synthetic and since I was face lathering I was in the mood for some scrub and backbone. The Taj fit the bill perfectly.
The only thing on the agenda today is having a go at repainting the numbers on the Slim.

Pretty picture, Blair! Sorry about the weepers. Tomorrow is another day and another shave.

Joseph, great setup and shave! Obviously, the J A Henckels Friodur is the star of the show. In my experience, I usually get weepers when I quickly stop short the stroke. When I gradually slow down the stroke, I rarely get weepers. So, it is short, deliberate strokes while gradually braking to a full stop.

Under the same conditions, don't shave with a straight razor because you will badly cut yourself.

Thanks, Joe. Do I need a CDL moving forward?
Thanks, Clint. When I have the time, it gives me a great deal of pleasure to write these too.
    Duly noted, thanks Keith!
Thank you Andrew. Hope the new job is going well. With all of the gas money you're saving, I expect some new den acquisitions. ;)
    Thanks, Danny.
    You're very kind, James.
    Grazie, Perry.

I like a sip of sherry occasionally, John. I'll tell you one thing, though, Kitty is NOT happy with you. I hope all is well.

What a haul! Some faves in there for sure.
Great photo, Clint. I have lots of soaps like that- I enjoyed them but will look for something different and not buy again.
    Always love that 400, Joseph!
Sounds like it was a great night, Perry! How’s the packing- ready to go yet?

Awesome gear! Those Palmolive sticks are one of the best deals in shaving.
Very cool looking copper handle, Blair!
A stunner, Jim! Great work on the paint.
