Really? You braved Level 5 rapids for this shot and you're after a better one? Above and beyond my friend. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
April 17 Good evening, guys! I just finished my shave! Ok, I changed it up in keeping with this month's theme so as not to bore you with another Dovo shavette episode. I decided to take out my 1961 Fatboy (9) with the Voskhad blade. This is the 2nd shave with this blade. After suffering with the Glastonbury, I changed to the Piacenza. Bloomed it and face lathered with my Rocky synthetic. I only needed 2 passes, but did a third because this scent beckons me to do so. Did get a weeper on my lower neck, but it was gone with witch hazel and styptic pen. This shave was uber BBS. I don't grade my safety shaves because I get great shaves everytime and quite frankly, this method doesn't challenge me. However, if I got this shave with a straight, then it would be a 97. Without the weeper, it would be a 99. Bottom line, I got another enjoyable shave and I smell good, too!
This morning’s trial was cella. It’s a couple years old and has lost some of its scent so I thought it might be time to part ways. Nope. Lighter scent or not, Cella is great soap. I don’t see it leaving anytime soon. As for the shave, another Japanese straight provided a BBS above the neck with a DFS on the neck itself. I know, it’s still a DFS, but I’m still shooting for Dark Side perfection. I may stick with this razor, and repeatedly follow @Keithmax’s four pass regimen for a while. I’ve tried so many angles on the neck over time, that I think sticking with the same passes and pattern may yield better results.
