17 April, MMXIX A.D. Arko April!!!! Two for the win. Long, tiring and productive day. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a great evening and a pleasant Thursday!
hello fello shavers, wednesday arko april shave, something simple that works..loaded the flat bottom tech with a new to me first time gillette 7 oclock super stainless blade. loaded the canadian rubberset boar with arko pressed into a bowl and .. face lathered an awesome lather.. yes face lathered gents , first time since i started de but did for years with the williams.the old rubberset was fantastic, made for the job..got a nice smooth 3 pass dfs+ shave out of the deal..touch of irritation on the lower neck.it is a uncoated blade but was very smooth and took the whiskers without effort..soap wasn't as slick today with little residual slickness, prefer bowl lathering these days.leave the past where it belongs.slicker lathers in a bowl for me..2nd go with the veg tonight, still have to get used to it but it smells good..not really a flower scented guy..great shave , and great shaves to all,
Great shave and picture, Gary! I'm a fan of the 7:0'clock Super Stainless myself. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Danny, it is so close. I have only had a few shaves with the boys, but so far they have eked out over Rocky. The heavyweight fight is not over. I have to put a Voskhad razor in Rocky and then it will be a fair fight. I have to be impartial when the time comes to announce the winner.
thank you sir, first time very smooth, not sure where the irritation came from, could of overshaved that spot a bit.. but only the first time, more uses will toughen it up..i hope they last like the original super stainless ..
Joe, I have to admit that they are close. My 6s edges the FB because I just love the solid feel of the three piece design. Both razors are in a class all there own and are hard to compare to each other. Vintage, proven design vs modern manufactoring, design and materials.
