Thank you for the compliment Bruce. I have been shaving my head with DE razors for 10 years by feel so I did have a foundation. However, shavette shaving your head is quite a different story. I did it to see if I could do it. To be honest, it wasn't perfect, but was acceptable. I probably still have to use a DE to do minor cleanup. However, I get a real nice headshave with my Rocky 6C with very little risk of nicks and cuts.

 

I fully get where you're coming from, Randy. I keep bouncing back and forth on Cella. Part of me thinks that when it's done, it's gone and won't be re-purchaced. Then when I use it, I realize that I'd probably miss it. My biggest gripe is the small container. I have to pick an appropriate brush to load from the small tub. Not a total deal-breaker. Still on the fence, but leaning towards "keeper".

And, there's what I've been waiting to see - your thoughts on the Feather in the SRX. Your experience mirrors mine. I expected the Feather to have some harshness, but that's not the case at all. In fact, not only is it smooth, it feels pretty much like any other blade in it. Truth be told, if I had someone put blades in the shavette for me, not only would I be hard-pressed to tell a difference, let alone guess which blade it was. The only blade that I thought felt rough is the Big Ben. Aside from that, they're all about identical in feel and performance.

I just don't think Clint has spent enough time with Clubman to gain an appreciation of the delightful aroma. Maybe if a bunch of us chipped in, and with a few phone calls, just maybe we could have a 55 gallon drum shipped to him. His bride would also be overjoyed.

Mail call! The wife just sent a picture of my latest acquisition, The Veg! I don't know the age but it's a glass bottle with a barcode on the back label. I had my wife compare the current to this one. She said the "vintage" smells really nice and the modern smells like a strong cleaner. I'm happy!
