I live in NY and summer can be hot. I will use the citrus fragrant soaps and aftershave, but I will use Sandalwood or BayRum on the rare cool summer nights. Yes, in the cooler seasons, I will use the BayRum and Sandalwood more frequently and every so often use the summer scents. I do have soaps that I can use anytime like Williams, and VDH. Summary: I use whatever I want regardless of the season within reason.

As for soaps to be used anytime-I hope the Burma Shave I received from the last raffle can qualify. It does have a bit of a barbershop-type scent, so we'll see. I'd like to get kt going before long.

I'm afraid to ask what @wristwatchb will write for a signature to the Clubman he plans to send me. (Note: No Bay Rum or Lilac Veg, please).

Sandalwood is a popular scent in India and it’s hot all the time. Bay Rum is from the islands with no real winter. I just use the soap and aftershave that strikes my fancy.

I could TRY that, but did Clubman strike my fancy on that humid summer day? Is the Red Sox home park in Kalamazoo????

:happy102: I can see a few trees from apartment :taunt002: Charlie, the house looks fantastic, I envy your deck, I wish I had a deck to enjoy my cigars and pipe while sitting outside. I wish you and your bride many happy years in your new home. I hope to see both at the 30DC meetup. I have purchased my ticket.

My brother lives in Brancepeth Durham County, it is beautiful there, I enjoy visiting him there in the summer.

    Friday Shave:

My SK-3 just came back from Glen, he polished it up and but a wonderful edge on it. Today is the first shave for this razor. I always wanted a smiling Saito razor, it is smaller than expected, it is hollow ground with a smile, definitely the most hollow smiling razor I have ever seen. It is going to take a few shaves to get used to but it does make shaving my neck easier as with my other smiling razors.

    Irritation A+ Closeness A Smoothness A+ Sharpness A+

    Razor: SK-3
    Strop:
Brush: Handle by Jason, shavemac silver tip
    Pre: Nivea
    Soap: Crowne and Crane
AS: Blood on Steel AS, Stirling ASB
    Scent: Penhaligon’s Hammam Bouquet

Keith, thanks for the kind words. It would be very cool to live in a high rise condo with a great view like you have in Seoul. With each move, we get closer to downtown Louisville. It's not Seoul, but it's the best we can do. It would be fun to live in a condo that overlooks the downtown area, our minor league baseball stadium, and the Ohio River...but my sweet Bride flatly says no. (Don't be alarmed @clint64...Louisville traffic is nothing like Atlanta.) She grew up on a farm, used to ride horses, and loves seeing the wildlife, flowers, and birds...and I can't argue with that. :)

We look forward to seeing you at the meetup again this year. Kathy still speaks of the time she spent talking with you while @NCoxSTL pocketed the Toggle that was destined for my Den. Occasionally, I will share your 30DC posts with her, and she loved seeing the recent photos of you and your lady friend at the Cherry Blossom Festival.
