Ouch! My dad always said "Bought experience was the best experience". Your son bought some then.

    I'm already out.

Soap is soap, I just like the Glorious Stanks of Stirling. Probably turn out that their stuff works as well as Williams, just not everyone wants to spend that much.

Besides I'm way beyond college age and not sure that I could go through Williams 101 to make sure I use it right.

Sometimes ya just gotta leave the difficult things to the young bucks.

I'm sorry you had a rough night, Clint. I'm glad everyone is safe. It was a good idea to shelter in the basement just in case.

I bet that was an interesting class, Paul. Even if you don't need skills to survive, I'm sure you learned some useful life skills.

In my HS calculus class, our teacher took a small detour. He taught us how to research new cars in Consumer Reports, and he coached us on how to negotiate the purchase price of big-ticket items. He had recently purchased new furniture and even a Cadillac (yep, teachers make the big bux), and he described how he negotiated some significant discounts. This was an eye-opener for me.

He also showed us how compound interest works. We learned the benefit of accelerating mortgage payments to pay off a home early and the compounding effect of investing early in life (time value of money). I paid attention, and these were indeed practical and life changing skills for me. Every time I use bay rum aftershave, I'm reminded of this dear gentleman. He always wore BR or something similar. He grew up and was educated in rural Kentucky. He was a great teacher and a smart cookie.
