Thanks, Danny! It was a great shave. I didn't take my advice to take slow deliberate strokes. I went too fast and long down my neck as if I was skiing downhill. I should know better. I don't ski. Lol!

 

Danny, it looks like a great razor for the money. I used a Feather Artist Club kami for many moons. It was a fun razor to use, but it was less forgiving than my Parker SRX. @wchnu has it now. I bet he'd send it to you for side-by-side comparison if you're interested.

I have not shaved with a kami like yours without the rounded edge on the blade holder. Some guys here prefer shaves with razors that do not have the rounded edge. They claim it is more forgiving. I can't say for sure. I look forward to your impressions of it.

Well, I'm just going by what my former friend from Manhattan said-he was a Met fan, and, as he said "that means I hate the Yankees".

I'm a product of Alabama public schools.

 

Well, I am a Met fan. However, using the term Yankee is in reference to a derogatory term used by the Southerners given to those living above the Mason-Dixon line. In my comment , I was making fun at my own expense by calling myself a Yankee when making a comment to a Southerner on this board. Hey! If I can't laugh at myself, then life isn't worth living!

Even though I am approaching my target weight, I want to continue improving my level of fitness. I am not "finished" by any stretch. (When you're finished, you're finished. I don't want that. ) I am inspired you and others here to continue on my healthy journey.

I've taken a calculated risk by being so open with my 30DC brothers. I welcome the accountability in the days ahead. I definitely need it.

I do plan to make some ice cream and BBQ ribs disappear at the meetup...and then get back on the plan.
