    Razor: Gillette 3 Piece Tech
    Blade: Personna Red (6)
    Lather: Schick Edge Gel
    AS: Afta

Tried something different this morning, but not again for a long time. It was actually `WORK`, instead of pleasure, as most of my shaves are. A 2 pass shave,WTG/ATG,XTG, I had to work slowly with each stroke, finally started to shake, so that slowed me even more. Shaved my head with an electric razor, so I finished my face with that. Applied Afta. I did all my strokes very carefully which gave me an almost BBS (whew!) God Bless to all,Bill

Beautiful picture and setup. Keith Moon was properly the most musical drummer of all the rock drummers. IMHO.

Thanks Doug. I agree, Keith Moon was a phenomenal drummer (maybe a tie for best with John Bonham though).

    SATURDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Erik Hodges a.k.a. Douglas Smythe
    [IMG]

    Shampoo - PAA Solstice
    Bath Soap - PAA Solstice
    [IMG]
Razor - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Double Open Comb Ascension (316L Stainless Steel Adjustable) (1/8th turn)
    Blade - [IMG] *6th Shave
Brush - PAA "The Green Ray" Faux Horse Hair
Preshave Soap - PAA Cube with Dock
    Shave Soap - PAA Solstice
    Deodorant - PAA Solstice
    Aftershave - PAA Solstice
Post-Shave Balm - PAA Mysterium Serum
    Fragrance - PAA Solstice EDP

This time I will will do just the aftershave/cologne and skip the EDP because the EDP is a bit strong and the aftershave/cologne is plenty strong enough.

**EDIT - I forgot to change the blade and so, it was the blade's 6th shave. I normally change the blade in this razor after 5 shaves. But.........it was a fantastic shave anyway after I found the sharper side of the DE. The CUBE enhanced the Crown King v5 formula very well. I actually didn't think the CUBE did anything to enhance the new CK6. I rank the CK5 a 9/10 and the CK6 a 9.7/10. The CK5 with the CUBE is a '10'/10! The area it made the difference was in the slickness. CK5 and CK6 have the protection (CK6 even better), but both have like an 8.5/10 in slickness. The CUBE truly enhanced the glide and slickness of the CK5 noticeably despite that the CK5 already is great in that area to begin with. So, in short, the CUBE makes the CK5 a '10' out of 10. I would love to shave with this anytime. Every shaving soap should aspire to what this combo gives. Voluminous lather that fattens the knot and a perfect slickness/protection combo with no compromises that I could detect.

I only needed 1 pass and 1 extensive clean-up with extra smotherings of lather and a drop here and there of water to re-enhance the slickness as needed with my off-hand. I really, really, really enjoyed this shave.

The post-shave balm gave a fantastic post-shave feel. No alum needed. I got some feedback sting from the aftershave, mostly because I chased BBS and got it. Luckily I got no redness or irritation. It was a perfect shave. The scent is great too.

I found a great saying I think I'll use as a result of this shave. May all your shaves be the sharper side of the DE.
