I'd planned on using my VB Emperor Augustus for the first time, but I ran short on time before the Easter guests got here. So, I used my trusty and extremely mild VB Godfather with a Personna Israeli blade, Stirling Electric Sheep (Lemon Pledge) soap, and, for the first time, Pinaud Citrus Musk. The a/s was not my favorite, in fact my least favorite of any of the Pinaud offerings I've tried, which I've generally been quite impressed with.

    Happy Easter

Mongoose (batch 2) in satin SS w/Dr. Bomber handle
Feather Artist Club Super Professional (1)
    Kent BK4 silvertip badger
    C.O. Bigelow
Alum, Thayers WH, USB, and Pinaud Clubman

Two passes with the Mongoose for a near BBS shave made for a nice way to start a beautiful Easter morning. The added exposure and stiffness of the AC Super Pro blade combined with the weight of the razor contributes to an almost automatic shave. I used my trusty Kent KB4 to effortlessly whip up a mountain of C.O. Bigelow lather. The BK4 is floppy and feels like you're building lather with a powder puff. It's a nice change every so often from my scrubby brushes. It has no trouble lathering soaps or creams, but it excels with creams. It was one of the first "nice" brushes that I purchased, and it's a keeper. It's been around the world and through a couple of hurricane-related evacuations with me, and it still builds great lathers.

We had dinner and attended Easter worship with a dear friend last night, so today is a lazy day at home for us. The weather is great, so we'll be spending some time outdoors.

I hope you and your families have a blessed Easter!

Good Job Pawpaw Rick! It's hard to beat a shave with an Omega boar and a Fatboy! My Bride and I visited Glastonbury, England where the hippies congregate. But it was just a bunch of American tourists milling around the day we were there...with cameras, short pants, sandals, and white socks. The tomb of King Arthur is there too...then we learned that King Arthur is a myth. It's a good thing we can base our lives on real things like Cartel cookies.

Well guys it has been determined that time will not let me get through all of the posts today.
    Gonna try anyway.
Today I used my RR Black Hawk and what a nice shave. The razor has been on loan to a buddy of mine and he fell in like with it. With so many tools of the trade here in the den, I did not miss it. But it's been a while since I used it so I gave it a go this morning.

    20190421_105959.jpg
Using the Feather blades, I was able to get an entire shave with one blade.
Considering the price tag for them, that's a good thing!
Only one small nip on the chin that did not show till after I was done with everything, head shave and all.
I concider that an OK shave.
The shave was smooth and clean, with no irritation other than the chin bing.

Sitting at the computer last night, I thought "maybe I have enough razors of different brands and styles I don't need any more". NAaaaaaaa! What a crazy thing to think, when I get my sholder fixed or usable again, I have all those straights and shavettes to run through. So wont be thinking that for a while.;)
    Full RAD ahead!
With some SAD and BAD mixed in for ballance.
    Enjoy!

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
    Brush: Zenith B02 boar
    Soap: Oleo New City
Post: Witch hazel, Oleo New City aftershave

Great shave early this morning. New City is a terrific scent. Great performance from the lather and the aftershave has nice face goodies. Used the Featherweight and got great results. Terrific all around.

Alice is home and resting on the couch. Had to find a pharmacy that was open on Easter to get some prescriptions filled, but that wasn't too bad. So glad she is home and that ordeal is behind us.

Have a great Easter day everyone!
