Hi all just got the brush yesterday but know NOTHING about it. when were they made, other details about the 89 please
I'm not sure it this will be helpful, but it has be thought that the numbering of the Ever Ready was mainly way to suggest a retail price; hence you see many under the same number. Now with that thought You can see that a 150 of the same style is newer than your 89 and a 79 would be older. I am not an expert but would estimate the dating to be early to mid 70's. Hopefully @bladeshark can step in to assist.
Thank you and yes hopefully he will. Someone had said somewhere else that they thought the 89's were from the 50's. But who knows. Anyway thanks for the info.
Bottom of the page has some information about the company. Period advertising might give a clue, maybe patents?
From what I'm finding, Ever Ready from the late forties through the fifties inscribed their name on the side of their brushes and only starting in the sixties putting their name on the bottom. https://books.google.com/books?id=U...page&q=ever-ready shaving brush dates&f=false https://books.google.com/books?id=A...epage&q=ever-ready shaving brush life&f=false https://books.google.com/books?id=c...epage&q=ever-ready shaving brush life&f=false
@jaro I was saying I believe yours is from the late 60's to early 70's and @brit brush I restored for him is from the mid to late 70's.
