I use k-cups for decaf b/c it's just easier. And I find, in general, that k-cup coffee is stronger tasting than my usual method (french press). Maybe the same applies here? Or maybe you need to up your amount of coffee being brewed?
Someone once ask me what I would do without coffee...I told them I figure 25 to life in Angola. Glad your able to cut back. Ps. Decaf is not coffee....
I take a 200 mg caffiene cap, 3 billion probiotic, and a multi every morning with 2 glasses of water. Great start to the day !!!
I haven't been able to adjust to decaf. I have started roasting my own coffee, and cut way back though. I've also started rotating in Match Green Tea. I find it makes me feel far less jittery. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Did you just say milk in your tea ....... I can see touch of sugar, but .... milk. I haven't put milk in my tea since I was seven ... and I lived on a dairy farm.
Whipped up a pretty good mix I can live with during the week: 40% D.D. Decaf (nutty-chocolaty notes) 40% decaf Peet's Major D (darkish flavor) 20% 1850 Trailblazer (also good flavor + tiny kick of the 'feen)
I always keep a bag o’ Peet’s decaf whole bean in the house for my wife. She won’t drink regular coffee after 1pm. Only decaf with dinner or with desserts. I join her with a cup sometimes but rarely touch the decaf.
I drink 4-8 8oz. Cups a day plus energy shots. I haven’t found a better way on flex and swing shifts with no sleep schedule and sometimes as little as 7 hours between shifts( translates to about 3-4 hours of sleep after commuting etc.).
I was on the decaffeinated Gourmet coffee kick for a while and what I was buying was the Swiss water treatment process whole bean and grinding my beans for just a cup and putting the ground coffee through the one cup paper water strainer and I have to say it was OK. The Swiss water treatment removes 99.9% of caffeine with out using chemicals and that is what you want if you are going to drink decaffeinated coffee IMO.
I know that I drink too much coffee- at least a pot a day. The caffeine has little effect on me any more. I can easily drink a cup, and go straight to bed, having no trouble falling asleep.
