Last shave was slightly more than 48 hours ago. Yesterday, I woke up and had zero desire to shave. :shocked003:
Today, while not feeling particularly better, I needed to shave.
Basic, trustworthy gear was the order of the day. No esoteric scents to distract.
No fancy, schmancy artisan names to wrap my addled brain around.
    Just time-tested gear that delivers.
This boar knot never ceases to amaze me. As soft as some of my very best badgers.
Why, or why doesn't this soap exist anymore :signs002:
What a shame. It is as good as ANYTHING I have ever used.
BTW, for those who aren't aware, Figaro Sapone Speciale is the original P.160.
I have to acknowledge, this Dovo is my sharpest and smoothest razor.
Today was THE closest to a BBS I have achieved since starting this journey.
I surmise that 48 hours growth, greatly improved the ability of the razor to get a hold of the hair
and shave it cleanly. If I changed my routine to every other day, I would achieve BBS shaves much more frequently.
    :signs002::signs002::signs002::signs002: Something to ponder...:signs002::signs002::signs002::signs002:
Nose running, eyes running, I am closing this post and going back to bed.

Matt, nice shave, pic and gear! I'd frame the blade, if I got close to 15 shaves, let alone 30!

I do 2 passes left to right under my nose, but I use a NW/SE stroke on the 2nd pass. If I am feeling ambitious, then I do a fool's pass on the 3rd pass. Usually, I do a free style on my 3rd pass to finish it.

Awesome shave this morning. I did not feel like a shavette shave today so I spent some time with a razor that I have not shaved with since I got the 6s.

    Parker CHST brush
Murphy and McNeil - Trinity Sample
    Astra SP Blade
Rockwell 6c - Plate 6 on Weber Bulldog
    Nivea Post Balm
    Drakkar Noir

This was a no complaint shave. M&M performed great and the 6c is probably the best value in the shaving world. 20190428_083852.jpg
Great day planned. Driving down to Marion, Alabama for a Confederate Memorial service and spend some time with an old friend. I got him into wet shaving about four years ago. He also lives in a house that Nathan Bedford Forrest lived in after the War of Northern Aggression. Take care and Y'all have a great day.

Gary, that's a beautiful bluesy shave. The cherry on the top of the ice cream would have had Elvis Presley singing Blue Suede Shoes!
