This cased Gillette Debutante was given to me by @Jrdelgado, but on the top, it looked like an area was either close to a heat source or got burned. It's a padded cover on top, so I wasn't sure if I could repair it.......... I had one idea and wasn't sure how it would come out. So I figured, why not, it's already messed up. I wasn't worried about the markings as they were barely visible anyway. There were a few more areas that needed attention, but they were minor compared to this one. So, I decided to use Plastic Wood to repair it. Pretty much the routine was to add some, let dry and add more. When it reached an area just slightly above the rest of the case, that's where sanding took over. Using worn out sanding sponges, I continued until the patch was even with the rest of the case, it took a while as I sanded it very lightly the whole time. I didn't have a paint to match that dark red, so I mixed my own using red, brown and a little black. It was close enough as I put it all over the case. After a bit more sanding and a few light coats of satin clear, this is my result.........
