Well, boys and girls, this is absolutely NOT shaving related. I know, we NEVER deviate here. THREAD HIJACK TIME!!!!!

Three hours away from the Battle of Winterfell. So, fellow GoT Freaks - who ya got alive or dead after this episode? Here are my predictions based on my absolutely over the top obsession with this last season, fueled by reading every possible theory, conspiracy theory, and conspiracy about conspiracy theories on the show.

    Jon Snow - Alive
Danerys Targaryen - Alive but somehow either transformed or else showing her true madness in preparation for not living to the end of the series.
Ser Brienne of Tarth - Alive
Jamie Lannister - Dead (but faceless)
    Tyrion Lannister - Alive
Sam Tarley - Alive along with the rest of his family. Also, he saves them.
Jorah Mormont - Dead - but slays multiple Whitewalkers and Wights in honor of his father
Tormund Giantsbane - Alive. Please. We need more of Tormund.
Theon Grayjoy - Dead - he will try to run away from the Godswood but will find his courage and die in total defense of Bran. An honorable death.
Ser Davos - Dead. Maybe. He might make it just because that's been his history. The most unskilled warrior and he's survived them all.
    Poderick Payne - Dead
The Hound - Dead. Defending Arya
    Beric Dondarrion - Dead
    Sansa Stark - Alive
Bran Stark, excuse me - The Three Eyed Raven - Alive but we'll learn a LOT about the connection between him and the Night King
Arya Stark - Alive - she will be the one who actually kills the Night King - and she will disappear soon after they discover Faceless Jamie.

I think that's all the major players. So let's see. So by my predictions it will be a 50% kill rate. Of course anyone not near Winterfell will be safe for tonight. We'll deal with them when the dust...errrr......snow settles on this one.

I also had awesome chicken on the egg. After 20 years of finesse BBQ, I’ve gone to lazy automation using a mini fan controlled by a PLC, connected to my WiFi. The fact that I can control the temperature of my egg from another continent totally geeks me out, despite the fact that there is no practical purpose for this. I have remotely controlled and monitored the thanksgiving turkey before, though. Anyway, here’s my cook:

Very cool, Randy. I have another friend with an automated cooker. He also automated most of his home lighting...inside and outside. He gave me a catalog (yep, he's an enabler too) which even included a mechanism to adjust the draperies based on preset conditions. This can be a very deep rabbit hole. Geeky cool though.

What I'm finding a little too much of a coincidence....is the number of us with a BGE....wifey and I bought one (XL) last spring. Almost got a pellet grill, but she liked the BGE line. Haven't bought a temp controller system (yet), but have a 6 probe Fireboard WiFi monitor.

And...I'm in lurk mode (aka not shaving). Long 3 day work weekend. Still have another day to go.

It happened again-waffle fell to the bottom of the toaster/microwave. This time I got everything shut off before there was fire, but the smoke had commenced.

If you've got a faulty toaster, Paul, I'd definitely replace it. It's not something to mess around with. A kitchen fire can get out of hand quickly. Be safe, my friend. :)

First shave tonight with a badger brush. Face lathered some derby. Not the greatest lather tonight. But the badger is really soft. Its back soaking in shampoo because its a dirty monkey. Smells like the pachyderm house at Brookfield zoo. Next shave with this brush I'm going to bowl lather some cella. Off tomorrow after working the weekend. Have a pleasant Monday gents [IMG]

Sounds dangerous, Neal. The most dangerous thing I'm doing of late is trying to use up a bottle of Clubman. ;)

I never got hooked on GoT. The last show I fell for was Doc Martin. I'm a sucker for the British comedies.

How are your new business ventures going?

Nice shave, Rob. You're a brave man using a badger bush that hasn't been defunked. I usually create a lather with a new natural hair brush and let it dry overnight. I'll do this a few times until the odor is gone. In my experience, the Omega boars smell the pachydermiest new out of the box.

I hope you like the badger after you get it broken in. I love using my badger brushes.

Good point, Charlie. Nobody wants their tombstone to read “killed by a waffle”. (Although on the bright side, it’d keep your memory alive for generations , as no one would ever forget the tragic tale of death by waffle.)

I know @Paul Turner would like a new CT. There seem to be a lot of toaster possibilities. Maybe we can help a brother out, Randy?

I got my eye on you.... I will let the soaking to fit thre cup pass. Let it cure and you will have a great soap.

I have no clue on why they stopped. I feel the same way about Burma shave soap. Works great and all. I guess people are yo-yo's for the most part. If it does not look and smell fancy they think it is not good. Stuff that simply works is often left behind.

    Monday Shave

I bought this razor a long time ago and since I tried the Feather blades in the Valet Auto Strop I thought I should bring out the plastic One Blade and give it another go. This thing feels like a cart, you have to use pressure to get it to shave but unlike a cart, I did not get any irritation, on the other hand, it was not a close shave despite adding a 5th pass. This razor does NOT make the cut, pun intended.

Joseph @Primotenore , I know you like Hammam Boquet so if you get a chance give Royal Mayfair I try. I think you will like it.
