Jason, you already chased after the Golden Fleece and brought it to your kingdom. Don't sweat it, you are still cool!

I'll be shaving with the D-OC plate in morning.

The color is more pink than red. This should be interesting for MAYhem.

Got these for the cheap Kamisori type razor.

I got this on the cheap mainly for the spring for another head. I may end up straightening this head out and see if it usable. This one has adjustment screws for a wedge blade and I do not know if a regular SE blade will work. This head has some nice patina and would look good with a wood handle. Take care.

I wouldn't know where to begin on this, Danny! I have to say it is a unique looking head.

Joe, the head is very similar to my lather catcher that is missing the blade pressure spring. This head is distorted and bent pretty bad. I'll work with it tonight and see if I can get it where it needs to be. Have a great day.

So Hydromagic just means that the razor has a lever that opens up the head for rinsing. There are Hydromagic versions of the I, J, And K models. Since all three of these models share the same head design they all shave pretty similarly, somewhat mild with less blade feel then a G model. Very smooth shavers. Also, since the Hydromagic models use two pins to hold the blade in place when you open them up you can't use twin blades or trimmed AC blades in them.

I had a mostly nice Menthol Monday shave thus morning with Frozen Tundra, and my mentholated Brut aftershave. I skipped the finishing touchups that I usually do because I dinged the back of my off hand again. Nothing major, but enough to decide that that's enough for today.

Thanks Clint! The brush started it's life as one of these West Coast Shaving Two Tone synthetics.

My plan was to steam out the knot and use it in one of my WWB handles but when I went to pull the knot the bristles pulled out of the glue plug which stayed in the handle. So I decided to drill out the glue plug and set an Omega Pro 49 knot in the handle. It turned out great and looks a lot better then the synthetic knot IMO.
