Monday mail call, a vintage advert for English Leather products from the 1960’s. The frame I bought at my local Dollar Tree to put it in.
In the mail today from @Jrdelgado, an H&H .375 Mag case (future razor handle), three brass cases with an inside diameter of just over 19mm, guessing 20mm cannon, and a bag full of New Mexican Red Chiles peppers. I was warned not to touch them with bare hands in case I have to use the little boy's room afterwards. Also in the background, some satin yellow gold material, which I just used to replace the white I used for the top inside of his British No. 58 case, looks much better.......... I've got a few things to share in this edition of "The Haul". Several new soaps, GD, Shannon's Soap, Sapone di Paolo. And the best part is my new razor, a pristine New Deluxe. It's in great condition, & the shave is as good as its looks!
Thank you. My first New Deluxe has brassing all over the head & cap, & the handle has a crack that has been repaired, & the knurling is worn down in many places. It allowed me to see how nice a shave the New Deluxe provides. So I had been searching for a better conditioned one for a while. A friend sold me his because it wasn't in a set, & he has some sets already. So I was the benefactor of his generosity.
Unfortunately the 2 recent good cases I had recently i sold. I only have these 2 that are not the greatest. The first case is basically a stand in until you find a nice one. It’s a little better than it was when I found it and I tried rehabbing it. But it still needs work. The second case you can see needs major work which can be fixed by jimjo. But it was made for the silver/nickel version not the gold.
